Kieran's Crane, Rigging and Construction Training
Australia
Приєднався 27 січ 2022
Kieran's Training is dedicated to helping students studying construction, safety, cranes, rigging and dogging courses. We aim to assist students with the practical aspects of their training, including tying knots, crane hand signals, crane whistle signals, slinging methods, and site hazard inspections.
We understand that while students may have access to study material for theory and calculations, the practical activities can be challenging. That's why we have developed short videos that demonstrate various techniques for rigging and slinging loads, conducting prestarts, selecting and inspecting lifting equipment, the three main crane signal methods used in rigging (two way radio, hand and whistle signals), how to operate a crane, how to tie knots and many other of the practical aspects of crane and rigging training

G'day mate just got my loaded vehicle crane license and as you say the course is not like real life.My question is i get nervous, can you advise me on how to overcome this and do you ever get nervous.?
How about to reconfigure computer for the change of boom
Good video mate. Your reverse (beeper) warning device isn’t working btw
👍
Hi mate thanks for the help I’m going for my Dogmans on Monday very nervous I have leaning difficult. Is there any tips you can give me before Monday?
Thank you for lessons Almighty God bless you 🌹🙏💋🎉
I did my dogmans with Kieran at CTI few years back to start working offshore. Highly recommend doing your training with him if you get the chance people 👌
This has been super helpful, I got my tickets 6 months ago and had forgotten half of the whistle signals. I’ve just started a rigging job in the mines and this has been a great refresher right before starting! Cheers 👍
advanced technology!!
like it!!
That's just great!!
i like apple!!!
Thank's shir i have subscribe i will always follow you thanks a lot
Thanks for the information
I ran into this problem with the day shift operator 😒
Cheers mate. Wish me luck, I'm doing a VOC tomorrow, haven't had much practise!
Just starting the video mate. But I would suggest that the first throw over would be on the inside of the already placed standing line so there is no pull against the initial basketing. Maybe that will be covered later on but I wanted to point it out incase the beers I’m drinking obscured it later. Cheers.
Many thanks for share your knowledge.
How about a video on how to read plans.
Can you explain me about loud chart
Thank you for the video
Look away for 2 mins and the whiteboard is blowing up. Haha. Good video mate.
Really helpful video. I have a prac exam tomorrow. We only have to do the third method. Single wrap choke back onto itself. Not onto the ring. I like the double wrap method. Looks more secure.
Are crane operators allowed to leave the crane with a suspended load?
Hi we're u from i am Rigger i want job my experience is 10 year in Rigger
Thanks so much for this video Kieran, I have passed my C6. You have helped me so much with C6 and dogging. I was surprised to find out that you don’t need to have Dogging nor up C6 for two years before you can go for C1 and CO tickets, you can just go straight for them
It is an amazing video. It has valuable information. Can I boom in or boom out using a mobile crane as yours?
Thanks for this, good explanation for someone wanting a career change.
Hey mate, loving the videos. Nice to refresh my current knowledge and see a different trainers perspective on things. Can always learn…. I am curious though, that dunnage stack on the drivers front right, the 2nd level of the stack or last level should always be horizontal to the outrigger to prevent slippage, not inline with the outrigger, every other one was done properly bar this one! At least this is how I have stacked my dunnage and never been picked up on civil sites in NSW. That one outrigger is incorrect no?
🇵🇬
For real...
A pooogggyy is known as a spud wrench in the Texas ... Thanks 👍 for the new word ☺️ fo
Thank you for this information. Your videos are very helpful, doing my intermediate soon
Jeez man! Do you really think you are soo pretty that we need to see your mug in every shot? You do realise that we can still hear your voice even if we can't see your slobbering mouth moving? {click} Next!
Any chance you would make videos for a crawler crane or Hiab folding boom crane? Many Thanks!!!
How would you do this on a tower crane? I’ve got 4 gears of boom, do I start off 1st then correct it with 2nd
Very helpful thanks alot
Great vids mate, had a bit of a disagreement today,I put slings on hook to be taken back to ground, clipped eye over hook ect so couldn't fall, lad in ground said that's wrong mate, just hang em over hook so if they catch ,they will slip out and doesn't Rip steel or scaff ect up. Ok. Opinions pls. Cheers
@@davedavis9766 I've got to agree with old mate on the ground, I've seen slings snag scaffold and pull on bays on sites. Wouldn't have happened if the slings were loose in the hook
Nice one mate, if ya get chance could ya show em some steep down hill stuff, cheers
Thanks for that. A great refresher. I have to sling, lift and stand on end a smooth marble column soon. It's about 2m tall and 400mm diameter. I'm slightly nervous that a double choke might not be grippy enough to hold the column verically to stand it up. What are your thoughts?
How do you full out a lift plan book, franna, gantry slew, etc? I have a little idea
yes although thankfully many must be turning a blind eye to it, ive only ever been pinged once and threatened with a window seat, to which i stated that i would rather be sent home than be injured following stupid instructions. he didnt bother me after that
As a total first timer who was just told to get my crane licence I was following everything he said up until he gave the Angle factor number of 1.73 as the number you arrive at if you multiply 4510 x 60˚...My brain shut down and now my right eye is twitching lol Also, just to add way more spice to this story... I live in Japan of all places and I'm going to have to do all of this in Japanese...which is why I'm here now trying to understand everything in English first...I suck at math BTW and the Japanese text book I was given is full of really scary looking mathematical formulas that look like hyroglyphics to me...
Great video, lots of helpful tips 👌
