I started this channel to help you all learn how to quickly and painlessly take down pistols for cleaning. Doing gun reviews just to get you some more basic facts and opinions about different pistols. Trying them out for yourself is always best if you have a local range that rents them out. I will also be putting other videos on here with various outdoors activities that I enjoy doing like, fishing, hunting and magnet fishing. Thanks for checking it out.

use a small dowel through the end of the slide into the spring to hold the spring down flat as you are inserting the guide rod (letting the dowel move backward as you position the guide rod down into the slide. Makes it much easier. I keep one with my cleaning kit. Also check to be sure that your two-piece guide rod is tight
@@JohnNewton-wq2xl thanks so much for the tip. Sounds like it should help someone with one of these.
Perfect video. Thanks.
@@jasonmalloy8502 thanks a ton for the comment!
I enjoyed your video. However, that 380 ez being "snappy" is just bananas! That's my go fast toy at the range. No conceivable snap or kick just fast action goodness. Feels like a 22 mag or something.
@@mrmann44 thanks so much for watching and commenting!! That was a tough call for sure. Both guns did great! This was just my opinion, I am happy you gave your opinion as well. Now people have more information to go on. Thanks again
For what it's worth, our brand-new CCP M2 fired exactly 19 rounds of generic 100 gr. range ammo before the (braided) striker spring failed. It collapsed down onto the back of the striker and didn't re-expand. We're in the middle of getting a replacement striker from Walther now. The guy at Walther said he's never seen this happen before. Is my confidence in this gun shaken? You bet! Maybe after several hundred rounds have fired successfully through the same gun I'll feel better. But right now I'm not too impressed. Also it seems the piston hole edge could've most likely been chamfered or beveled and / or some guide "rails" molded into the frame to help the piston go into its hole. As it is, there's an almost-blind dangling dance required to get it back in place. Just more difficult than it should be ...and this is coming from a Ruger Mark II owner. Personally I like steel guns, not plastic, but I can understand the weight advantages for CC.
@@lphilpot01 great comment! You actually gave me ptsd from trying to put it back together the first time lol. Sorry about your experience but I am super happy, not surprised, that Walther is fixing it for ya. You can tell they care about the products they put out. I have to put my money on you being happy overall with how the pistol performs once it’s fixed. Unfortunately with any mechanical devises you run the risk of malfunction. Like you said, stinks when it happens when it’s so new. Thanks again for sharing your experience!! Have fun and be safe.
Keeping a big one by the bed… “for protection”… not a bad idea 😉😂.
This is my gun & I must say I love it! I like the feel, texture & shape of the grip. The slide is easy to rack & the mag release is easy to reach. The sights are easy to align & can be seen clearly in dim light. When I first attempted to clean it I did have some difficulty putting the piston back together. However, my second time only took a few minutes & my third time I got it right away. It's not really hard but does take some practice to find the right technique. I would definitely recommend this gun.
@@CindyScoville-t2l great information!! Thanks so much for taking the time to inform others. Walther does make some fantastic tools to have fun at the range with. Thanks again for commenting.

Great little gun
Thanks for sharing this video. I am not use to taking down any semi autos. Been using revolvers for the longest time. But am going to try with this one.
@@tonyrebel63 you are very welcome. I don’t have experience with this pistol other than taking it down. From what I have seen it does well. I have heard of problems with the mag release but that’s about it. Should be a good one for you to get into. Please let me know what’s you think of it. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@one-77-sixfirearmssupplyco I took it to the range Thursday and it shoots very well. I love the accuracy and the sights on it. I also have a Taurus G 3 but its a little heavier. That will be more like home defense since I added a stream light and its is not comfortable when I carry concealed. However, that too is a nice gun no issues with what I run through it.
@ thanks for the update! Viewers will like reading this. You will eventually have to try out the GX4 if you like the g3c. No rush though. Enjoy and thanks again
Congratulations on your first time at a range. Hopefully it won't be your last and as a side note I own a Tisas PX9 Gen 3 Duty and have to say it has more than superceded my expectations and quickly replaced my EDC. For what they bring their firearms to market for as an asking price you would be hard pressed to find a better quality offering than a Tisas. Glad to see this brand is getting some very deserved love. I think that Tisas is an undeservedly overlooked brand of firearms that offers an insane value for those who choose to go outside the big name brands and give them a chance.
@@killacoiler1707 great comments! I agree. Tisas makes some great tools at competitive prices. As for my cousin, next time she comes to town I am sure I can get her back on the range. Thanks for the comment. Have fun and be safe!

About 50 bucks. Maybe 200 in reconditioned shape. The stock is falling off, and there is no telling what the condition is of the action and firing pin.

@ yeah, pretty rough all over. I took it for a couple bucks and will use it for a learning tool. Dissect it and go from there.

Interesting review. The Glock 43X should have been all stock like Taurus GX4. The edge was given to Glock.
@@ratagris21 the only advantage that the Glock had was the extra grip, and that just brought it up to the same grip as the Taurus. Both guns are fantastic and I would trust either one. That Taurus though was a very nice shooter. Thanks for watching and commenting
I own 3 GX4s. It’s an excellent EDC gun. I may stir the pot with the Glock crowd, ( you know how sensitive they are) but I like the GX4 trigger way better.
@ lol the pot needs stirred every once in a while. Taurus did a great job with this pistol. The trigger was the first thing I checked with this gun to see if they improved it, not disappointed. Thanks for watching and commenting
I made the mistake of buying 2 of them one for my wife and one for me to carry as our every day carry biggest mistake ive made with guns in a long time every jam known to the firearm world has happened with both we have tried to use about 12 brands of 22lr ammo and we cant get any to work i seen a channel that i wont name drop said it ran without a problem with fed punch it turns into a single shot with it and when it does not feed with any thing ive tried you cannot get the mag out it is impossible and that is the only way to get the jammed round out of the feed ramp because the round is still half way in the ramp and half way still in the mag the tip up barrel will not go up at this point this newest pc of crap from taurus will get you killed for sure when you call for service they say it will be 6 weeks before you will get it back and there is no mags to replace the bad ones it is just another scam by taurus im done with them forever
@@larryl603 thank you for sharing and sorry you went through all of that. Even though I had a different experience with this one, it’s important for people to see that experiences like yours happen as well. I hope Taurus makes it right for you. Thanks again and good luck

@@one-77-sixfirearmssupplyco your welcome. Let's get some more going.
The problem with lightweight frame revolvers is that the frames are not durable enough over time. So it is a sacrifice of durability for less weight. I have heard law enforcement talk about having them fail under fire. Lighter weight guns will also recoil more than heavier ones. Steel frames are better but weigh more. When she pulls he trigger she pulls the muzzle down just about every time anticipating recoil. She is moving the gun before the shot breaks. Fire control: Hold the gun really tight, point the gun at the target, and pull the trigger without moving the gun. If you jerk the trigger then learn to jerk the trigger without moving the gun. Practice fire control with lots of dry fire practice just learning to pull the trigger without moving the gun. Later add one live round during live fire so that she never knows when that round will fire. If she is still pulling the muzzle down, then more dry fire fire control. Thanks for sharing and hope she can clean up her fire control.
@@rbm6184 well said and great information! Thanks for watching and contributing.
I’ve been shooting my smith and Wessons 637,642 and 442 for 20 years. I have not experienced any malfunctions ,durability issues besides the normal wear and tear, and trust my life with them! Recoil bites back but tolerable.
@@salromano4633 this one performed very well during shooting. Very nice pistol. Thanks for watching
@@salromano4633 Just stating what some law enforcement officers have said about them failing when they needed them. If they haven't failed you then good. Hope they hold up but steel frames last longer and that is what I will stick with.
Same here, the airweights are built on magnum frames, you can fire plus p rounds for decades and they'll be fine, carry a 442 with a crimson trace laser boot grip on it daily, have for years, the finish on them wears off easily but they function great.

@@snowyraiderss9895 you are right about everything being polymer and not like they used to. They are still making some guns that are worth passing down but Not as many.
Back in the day, the whole office of the Marshals Service in Puerto Rico (deputies) placed an order with Sig to buy the P230 for backup duty. I loved this little pistol, the only issue I had was the magazine release. I sold it (I still regret it) and bought the PPK/S which I still have.
