Nice model. Shame about the plastic handrails. Metal would be better if used on a garden railway. Also they could be swapped out for metal but I don't think its too much to ask for metal handrails and lamp irons from the get go. Really enjoyed the video and I just bought my first O gauge model train today in the form of a Class 60.

Sound is good and the model is superb, running looks quite smooth. Bet it will be a joy to weather it.

Just subscribed. I have the headcode disc version (40 012). I'm currently waiting for my centre headcode one which I ordered from Tower Models today. Also got the new Deltic, Peak and 37/0 on order too. I'll be doing some vids when they arrive. A little bird has informed me that Heljan will be announcing a split headcode 40 next year. (Already got one reserved).

Great video, i have the same slim Jim but its 33204 ive just recently chipped it after 11 years in storage and its now happily heading a rake of 4 intercity mk1s . I'm planning to fit the snowploughs soon. Just for interest i purchased this heljan model from hattons as a walk in customer for £38 back in 2011 😊 . How times have changed 🤔 many thanks .

I've never seen such poor driving in all my life, the fact that 26 was pushing the 3 car CEP at half power easy as pie and then the following departure the 26 is then strugling to pull it at full.... rediculous! Then later on in the video, why is the 26 then coming onto the stock at about 20mph?? Then pushing the set about 4 scale feet when buffering up?? Madness.And finally, the brake van is at the wrong end when pulling away (which again is majorly too aggressive for a freight train). The 20 was driven shockingly as well, Devo is not happy and neither am I!!

I'm tempted! The sound actually comes up quite well on your video! DCC Supplies have a headcode pack for £10, but I would try and make some up in Word first. Thick wire with a strand of very thin wire wrapped around it should make reasonable buffer beam pipes.

Where did you get the new headcodes from? Just as a point, maybe you know by now anyway, the fuel tank I superglued on, so it won’t accept a speaker

Great post thank you for sharing this. I've come up with some creations I've been proud of in the past to what I would consider museum quality, but please go easy on the term "shite" to create a one-off you expect absolute perfection but to mass produce, that model is pretty bloody impressive.

A great video with a fine selection of 0 guage locomotives and weathered wagons running on the garden railway. I find this to be an excellent inspiration as I have started to build my layout with Peco streamline track which tests well and I can look forward to its future development. Many thanks 😊 👍😀

I have thoroughly enjoyed this video as I managed to purchase a couple of these and find they are excellent. As you say being made of resin the Signal Box can be used for an 0 guage garden railway which I have recently started to build. I understand that these were manufactured by Hornby and compliment the Corgi/Bassett Lowke locomotives and good wagons built in 2007/8. It is a shame that the 0 guage wasn't continued.
