Great advice for newbies and pros! I got stung on the head by a very aggressive bee on my head my first year! Sort of traumatized me because the whole hive was Africanized and dangerous! A bee veil would have stopped the sting.

Absolutely. It's all personal choice.
Sure, it’s your choice! However, his point is very valid for newbies who watch Texas Bee Works! Bees can be dangerous especially if you are a newcomer or your first hive is aggressive Africanized bees bought from a company locally getting them from California! Not everyone has an epi pen and it depends on how many sting you or pets at one time. You don’t even have to be allergic to bee stings, but your threshold depends on how many sting you at one given time.
Do what you know is right! For the love of God buy more combs and feed them.

Did you use a light in a microscope to discover the nocema? Because generally the disease is not visible to the naked eye.
Nosema, much like varroa, is a constant presence. However, a spore count of 1 million or more per bee indicates a harmful level. The treatment I use serves as a prophylactic measure since my bees are kept confined in a cellar for five months without any cleansing flights.

"Fumagilin B" is used to treat "nosema apis," but its effectiveness against "nosema ceranae" is still debated. I keep both Caucasian and Carniolan bees, as Caucasians are more susceptible to nosema due to their longer proboscis. This is particularly helpful during the long winters in my cellar, which helps prevent dysentery and other issues. I move all my hives to the cellar, where they stay in torpor for about five months at temperatures around 41-43°F.
To be more actuate. The all my hives at my home location. My out-yard. they are on their own because Im too lazy. lol. Hives not kept in the cellar I keep about a 50% survival rate.

Pesticide poisoning: Tongues extended, back legs stretched out, curled up. This happened to me a month ago. A crop duster. They are still dying. Queens stopped laying. I gave them a dose of pro dfm and 1 to 1 syrup with a little honey bee healthy. Time will tell.
