Welcome to my channel Relapse Tackle! I've been working very hard at improving videos on my channel. Some of you have probably watched some of my tutorials, please let me know if you see improvement, and what I can do to make things even better. I know the camera angle isn't great.
I'm not running a business but love being able to be well rounded, and make as many things as I can. It's so much more rewarding using something you made yourself even if you're not catching world record fishes. This is a hobby of mine that I'm very excited passionate about, and like sharing it with others.
I also wish my grandfather was still alive. He was a huge collector of anything that had to do with fishing. He took a lot of his display cases to a lot of different shows to share his love of fishing and collecting with everyone, and would talk for days about fishing.
Thank you all that have helped me learn over the years with many different things, and thank you all for your continued support!

Ok… I watched this back when you first put this video out. I also modify most of my molds. My question to you is have you used those hollow drill bits to drill out a place for hooks eye?
@jasondiddle4226 Awesome! No, you can use a dremel tool or an end mill bit in a drill press. Depending on the size of the hook, you can also use the tape and clamp method in a bench vise and clean up the indentation with a dremel.
Hope all is well its been a bit since you posted
@brucenichols9206 Thanks for asking. Lately, I've been working on a lot of home renovation projects at my house and my brother's. Hopefully, we'll have everything wrapped up before winter, and I'm able to get some more content going.
Thanks again for watching! If you've ordered this product, I'm wondering if you've seen the same overcooked plastisol or if everything was good? I'm hoping this stuff doesn't burn easily, and it turns out to be a good starter kit.
Right on brother !
Thank you!
Mold 3319 , can’t get the hooks to stay in position long enough to close mold
@user-xh6vz8zg1z How difficult is the mold to close? Is the hinge stiff?
And the point is...what? Humans have used lead colored sinkers and weights for decades if not centuries and we've done just fine. Why would you EVER go through the trouble, time, and expense of doing this? It changes nothing other than wasting your time and emptying your bank account. If you truly think that the fish are smart enough to recognize your sinker, use a fish finder slide. Talk about over thinking things......
@@Gre-z6f You must be really upset with the idea of me painting sinkers.......
@@relapsetackle Nope, not at all. I actually thought that your video was informative and well done and I plan to watch others of yours. My comment was more of a rhetorical question of why bother? I've been fishing successfully inshore and offshore for decades and this has never been an issue or even a topic of conversation with other fishermen, and I've had the honor to fish with some of the rock stars in the industry. I do believe that we, in our quest for an edge, do get wrapped up in alternative ideas. I would love to see a study that shows that painting the weights actually correlates to increased catches. I just don't believe they exist. If they do exist, I will be one of the first to jump on it. If this is a passion of yours then I support it 100 percent, it certainly can't hurt. As a marine scientist and old school fisherman, I prefer to keep things simple. That is all.
@Gre-z6f I honestly don't paint a lot of sinkers, but some people wanted to see the process, so I shared it. I usually paint bottom bouncers and down riggers because it can reduce drag and not blow back as far. As far as painting other sinkers, it can help reduce oxidizing and the mess from oxidation and also makes it easier for some people to tell one weight from the next.
@@relapsetackle Again, I support what you do and I share your passion. You obviously have to respond to the questions of your subscribers. No brainer there. You make a great and valid point about oxidation. I personally make all my own sinkers and stamp the weight's on them but I do understand your point about color differentiation. I do appreciate you taking the time and effort to make teaching videos, I really do. And as I said previously, I plan to watch more. My push back was purely rhetorical. We live in an ever increasingly complex world that forces us to get even more complex and angry. And one of the joys that I get (I suspect you do to), is the simplicity, and slowing down of life, in fishing. Getting away from the BS. For me, it's all about getting my kids away from their iPhones and out into nature. Hiking, mountain climbing, and fishing.
@Gre-z6f Thank you. I love fishing and enjoying the outdoors with my family. Getting them off their devices for a little while and enjoying nature is definitely needed these days.

No problem!
Very nice! I have a question do you prefer the hook that the mold takes or a regular 30 degree hook as far as hooking percentage. Do you see any negatives to the bend being above the hook point on the hook the mold was made for?
I've had really good luck with the hooks that are recommended for the mold.
Good!! I already ordered a bunch. I just usually used regular hooks. I am always tinkering with everything and trying different things out. So I used other hooks first because I already had 30 degree hooks that fit. Thank you for the reply
No problem at all.
Did you have any trouble getting full complete pours using the WB800??? Especially on the bottom side of the jig? I’m looking to try this. I done the lead keeper delete a long time ago. But have hand tied on wire keepers for a couple years. Did you do a video where you pour this jig? I appreciate any information
I haven't had any issues pouring these with the WB800 wire forms. Unfortunately I don't have a video up yet pouring these jigs. I'll put it on my list of things to show. Let me know if you have any issues or questions.
you should make us a video how you do ❤
Thank you! How I do what exactly?
Fantastic video really enjoyed it , is there a reason you use the spinnerbait with the twisted loop do you think it's better? Thanks 👍😊
Thank you! I personally like the twisted wire forms. They feel more stout, and it helps keep the fishing line where it should be. Thanks for watching, and I'm glad you enjoyed the video.

This giveaway ended a long time ago.
I ordered a mini vortex mixer the other day. Waiting for it to come in to do a video. It comes with the balls and then you just push the bottle down on the machine to mix it
That would be nice! Most of the time, they come with a magnet that's incapacitated in plastic.
Shad head jig mold 1 1.5 and 2 the collars are ver difficult
I'm assuming you've tried getting the mold really hot with the hooks inside it for a while before poring the lead. Have you tried dry graphite spray? Another thing that can be done is opining up a small gate coming from the tips of the lead keepers to help air escape faster. What are you using to pour the lead, and are you using the recommended hooks?

Heat gun will absolutely not blow paint off the jig SMH Heat gun also is more cost efficient than expensive propane!!
Have you tried it with Stardust? It absolutely does blow some of the paint off of the jig unless the lead is hot enough to melt the paint to itself when you dip them into the paint, and that's very rare with a heat gun unless you spend five minutes heating each jig.
hey, can you show me how to open this injector for cleaning?

Hello, I looked for your regular shad dart video. Can’t find it. HOWEVER,,, while I have your attention. I’ve never fished a shad dart style jig head. I’ve fished a lot, but never have fished one. What are they used for? What kind of action does it give the bait? Just the regular shad dart jig head. I’m curious.
Shad Dart jigs are great for vertical jigging. They're very erratic because of the angled nose, so they give soft plastics a lot more action. But with the angled nose, they also lift more than a ball head jig as you retrieve the jig. I'm not sure what video you're thinking, or I'd add the video link for you. Sorry about that.
