It's funny as men we hate being single and then we find a woman and fall in love with her and have a family. Then that relationship turns abusive and she hates you. And every night is an arguement and although you would never walk away from your family, you start to wish you are single again. And then it happens she walks away leaving you single. But this time it's different. You don't miss her anymore, you miss your children. I am now loving being single knowing that I don't have to tread on eggshells and can be myself and I don't have to come home from work knowing that I'm going to get an ear bashing for the next hour for some menial thing. But oh my god do I miss my child. I now come home wishing that my daughter would just run up to me with a big smile on her face saying daddy you're home and jumping into my arms. God I missed that so bad.

The positive light I see from this my friend is you’re out of a relationship where you were treading on eggshells and it wasn’t right for you and your mental health. The lesson you’re teaching your child is no matter whatever situation arises in life, always remember to put your self first! Thats a powerful lesson and in years to come I’m sure she’ll appreciate you teaching her this! Stay strong my man! If you wanna keep chatting about the topic - hit me up on Instagram @unclepri_ - happy to hold some space for you 👊🏾
