Any chance you could upload the scenario to the Matrix forums for those of us who don't use the Steam version?
Good point, I will look into it.
nice scenario
Thanks a lot!
Great work man, really nice to watch it and analize along. Is there any chance that you could share with us this great scenario?
Yes, will do the upload this WE. Has been very busy lately, but should get around to record the last part. I'll provide the steam workshop link in that video and description. Thanks again!
@@Simoholics-uk1py Would be great to see the independent link with the file as well :) Situation portrayed in your videos will change dramatically in the comming years. Poland is aquiring right now additional 6 patriot batteries and 23 CAMM land based batteries, with plentifull of top-notch radars. Would be great to check this scenario in the future. Once more: great work man. Looking forward to see more of your stuff. All the best!
@@hitusiks7072 Hi, this is the dl-link: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3405276915 will also add this to all parts. Reg. future of the area: I think Kaliningrad is already in a very vulnerable position; with most SAM sites and airfields easily in HIMARS range, the Poles would find a RU AD and airforce already highly depleted before they even get going. Poland is definitly still short on good SAMs of their own... I really like the swedish AEW though.. Would be interesting to replay with Polish F35s e.g., though would probably be too easy. cheers.
You need to try and stay MCON and as soon as you have some speed up cut engines to escape the wake homing torpedoes. Great game and enjoyable to watch 👍 Retired RN here and like your strategy 🙂 P.S. dont forget your layers and salinity + go deep, keep MCON and clear your baffles.
Thanks for your comment! Still learning about this stuff and having highest respect for the skill/knowledge of those who actually do/did this in RL. Will keep experimenting with the WH torps; they add an interesting aspect to the tactics, though they seem to hardly see any use any more in 21st century...
Great video!
Much appreciated, thanks!
Nice evasions! Everyone SUB TO THIS DUDE
Thanks, much appreciated!
I don't know what to say here, but its a great video and I want to help it in the algorithm, you sir have earned a subscription
Thanks for being awesome! And much appreciated!
Is there anyway you can show of the excellent research you do for these videos as a way to help others make missions such as these. I get the workflow of going to find the force makeup of the combatants on things like wikipedia, but how do you find all these locations on google maps? Also, how long roughly do you have to work on these to make it in to a video? Thanks again for the great videos, they really are a great help on their own in terms of inspiration for building scenarios.
Thanks, much appreciated! The problem with showing the "making of" in detail is that it is usually a process that takes many hours and difficult to put into a video without it being way too long and boring. (e.g. the Kaliningrad scenario was about 1 year of on and off tinkering) Finding sites on google/esri is mostly just looking for them manually. Or find sources that give you hints (e.g. in this case the mint-blog was extremely helpful). If there are high-value targets that need to be protected, SAMs usually have to be close by and preferably a little bit behind the target from the expected angle of the strike (also they need space, road access, etc.). In many cases, the sites will just be lurking in places that are convenient like that and not even that difficult to find... Lmk if you have scenarios ready; would be interested to try them out.
@@Simoholics-uk1py Ahh thank you, I appreciate you sharing your scenarios as well, you can tell a lot of work has gone in. It would probably be even more work if you needed to record the creation process as well. I have an interest in making a couple of historical ones so had to go hunting around for the makeup of their armed forces in that year, I've noticed the current makeup of them is much more readily available on Wikipedia which is somewhat ironic. I have found a couple of sources I can base the state of play off though so I'm hoping that I can start putting some units on the map soon enough.
@@StaleNinja Yes, I have noticed that as well. One thing I have done in the past was e.g. just asking chatGPT for the setup of the Sovjet northern fleet in the mid-1980s. It will spit out platforms and numbers. These you can then look up on wikipedia or other sources and see if they were actually present at the point in time that you are interestet in. This might work better with ships though then with other things...
C:MO overestimates the capability of the Patriot or is underestimating the capability of Hypersonic Missiles. The Khinzhal (less sophisticated than a Zircon) attack against Kyiv Airport (protected by PAC-3) had the Patriot Battery fire all 32 missiles at anywhere between 3 (Russian Claim) and 6 (NATO Claim) Khinzal missiles and one still got through. That's a pk less than 0.20 but C:MO has something like a .90 pk here.
Yes, though I feel like that is true for basically all systems that engage ballistic or fast ballistic'ish targets. E.g. There is video evidence for S400s getting hit by ATACMS while still fireing missiles, which usually would not happen in CMO. In the end its a simulation, reality is more complicated.
@@Simoholics-uk1py I agree. There's a similar video of Patriots getting smacked by Iskanders as well. The unfortunate part of these drone videos is that we're getting only a partial picture of what's going on. What are the ISR assets in the region? Are there multiple different aerial threats incoming? What's the EW situation? Lots to consider for many people. Not the least, C:MO module creators 😅
Germany should get that place back tbh.
Germnay will not exist in near future, its slav time , hold your pants !
I’d like to see the ship part of the scenario. Is this scenario available?
Yes, would be interesting to revisit that one at some point.. Could be sort of a modern Pearl Harbor. The old guam scenario unfortunately does not have working AI, so contains only the assets..
USN: Why is Freebird playing?
I bet at least half of those are gone now as of 2024-2025 back to Russia and Crimea.
The most recent satellite images that are free AFAIK are ArcGIS/ESRI. On those, all six sites are still present and look largely untouched. Baltisk was probably withdrawn in anticipation of the invasion in 2021/2022... It is very possible that the sites are getting cannibalized for parts, ammo and/or trained personnel though, which would not be immediately noticable on satellite images...

Poor Königsberg
They've done dirty a lot, yes.
While most normies would stick to sea power, the real gang will stick to CMO 🫡
I own both. 🤨
I suppose this is why the Soviets went all in on anti-ship missiles, and the notion of engaging CSGs from a distance, via surface warships, bombers or, if we're talking submarines at all, SSGNs. They knew it'd be extremely difficult, if not suicidal, to get close enough to a carrier for regular torpedoes. Though I'm surprised two hits barely scratched Ford. Modern torpedoes are supposed to be keel breakers. Two impacts should've led to heavy damage, at the very least.
True. In cmo you tend to need a couple of hits to sink the carrier, though I was surprised how little it did this time. Might have been an outlier. Also, no idea how easy it actually is IRL to break the keel of a 60k+ tons CVN...
Great stuff. I have to be honest, I am following your videos to try and learn the game. Would you consider doing tutorials?
Thanks for then info
Hey, I really enjoyed this series! I'm sure you already have your own plans for another series, and I'm not even sure if this would make for good content, but I was wondering if you could do a Let's play where you pit the South Korean Navy against the North Korean Navy? Maybe you could use just a portion of the South Korean Navy, like the ROKMC cause I imagine that would be pretty one-sided otherwise, then again the AI is not very good lol 😄.
Hi, yeah, would be pretty asymmetric, North Korean Navy is a lot of small boats and subs. Could be an interesting challenge playing north though..
HACM is another failure... "According to Defense News, the United States and NATO will be unable to create and deploy operational hypersonic weapons for at least another 20 years, if not longer, due to a significant technological gap." source - US generals from NATO.
Great research work. Thanks
Thanks, much appreciated!

Hey bro can you some india stuff if possible?
Sure, any suggestions? What kind of scenario would interest you?
@Simoholics-uk1py im honestly unaware of the scope of this game...but an aerial battle with china would be interesting either in north in ladakh region or in the east in arunachal..while china has tech superiority they have geographical limitations and less bases so am curious what that could look like....otherwise you can try specific things like j20 vs s400 of india...maybe rafales vs chinese air defense..or india using su 30s to launch brahmos and trying to destroy chinese airbases in tibet...it could also be more naval battles..malacca strait could be a fun front..you could try out indias new ac...is land warfare a possibility in this game?if yes you could try something there with indian t72s and t90s vs chinese tanks...also the new zorawar light tank vs z15 in ladakh(north border) if its in the game...there are a lot of possibilities....even pakistan is there.. just do anything you find interesting Ill def watch it...
@@capteagle9 Land warfare is possible, but it is pretty basic. Kinda like the idea with the air war. I'll look into it.
@Simoholics-uk1py cool...idk why but my 2nd comment isnt going through (its another cool idea): can try a large naval battle in the malacca strait...at the same time make use of bases (that have su 30s with brahmos)and missiles(agni prime) from the indian islands of andaman and nicobar which lie right at the mouth of malacca...it could possibly make it more even and interesting...

Guess it depends what your goal is. Also irl Japan likely would not fight alone...
should they time all missiles to arrive tgt? ie the bomber launched and the land based ones
I feel quite certain that if Vladimir Putin were to launch tactical nuclear weapons in Ukraine, that it would come from submarine-launched Zircons. It would mean NATO has far less time to react, for one. It would also be more difficult to determine beforehand if a strike were to occur.
Mh, Zircon is probably still imature at this point, my feeling would be he'd use something simple, that they trust it will work. Also they would probably do it on territory they control so they can pick it back up if it ends up not working... (pretty sure last thing he wants is UA recovering a functional nuclear warhead.... xD) Very speculative though, right now there is little evidence that any side would profit from breaking the tabu..
Nice content.
Glad you liked it, thank you!
@@Simoholics-uk1py keep em going man. I learn quite a lot watching your content and makes me improve my gameplay as well 👍
My only complain about the overall strategy of the indians is that maybe if they were humans, at some point they would realize that those "Chinese wild weasels" were just baiting their air defense and they would probably stop firing at them, lowering their engagement threshold to their "no escape zone"
Yes, working on getting that fixed in newer videos.

Back in March 2024 presumably 3 Zircon missiles hit something near IEV/UKKK airport near Kyiv (AA sites, probably, debris with 3M22 markings was found), they were not intercepted by Ukrainian Patriot and other SAMs, air raid sirens came online only after missiles already hit the targets, came from 800-1000 km range (probably). These new hypersonic missiles are capable of maneuvering during cruise and terminal phases of flight, they don't just fly in a straight line.
Patriot shot down all ruzzian so called hypersonic zircon missiles- it actually is propaganda fake like everything made is ruzzia really is! ruzzikies are 50+ years behind USA
US do not even have a working PROTOTYPE for a hypersonic cruise missile, they had many failures in the last years. Worth mentioning, one needs 5-10 years from the stage of a working prototype to the phase of serial production and deployment in active service. So, realistically speaking, US is probably ,ore than a decade behind Russia. Especially when Russia not only reached these stages, but also they started introducing them on all platforms ( land, sea/underwater, air)
ha ha! USA is 50+ ahead of ruzzia! USA just keeps its weapons in secret. Don't believe ruzzian propaganda, they don't have anything working- just look at their complete collapse in Ukraine. Using meat waves equipped with shovels agains NATO trained Ukrainian army? Ukrainians lost 31K wounded, while orcs lost 500K+ dead!!!
LRHW wants to talk
@@PennsylvaniaEAS - LRHW ?? 🤣🤣🤣 "The LRHW has failed several tests since 2021, some of which were attributed to problems with the missile itself. In 2023, two tests were canceled after problems were found in the launcher and launch sequence, the GAO said" Keep dreaming, murican engineers, all with 3 mums pushing happy "diversity" skills will need 10-20 years more to get even close... Hey, did I mention the crappy LRHV is not even maneuverable ??
@@PennsylvaniaEAS - LRHW is a failed PROTOTYPE "...Problems with the launcher and launch sequence of the new Long Range Hypersonic Weapon System will keep the U.S. Army from fielding its first LRHW battery until fiscal 2025, a government watchdog said Monday. The service aims to fix the problems and test the missile and launcher " Murican woke engineers, with 3 mums, are still decades away :p
HACM would also like a word
It's obvious the western weapons are going to take down the russian weapons. A heavy bias is used. They come straight down on the target not like the shown in the game.
True! I even seen a trusted documentary where F-14 destroyed 3 su-57! USA is ahead 50+ years!
Perhaps if you launch all 32 at once?
I think you missed biggest point of hypersonic cruise missiles (Unless I missed it in video) that they can maneuver. I think you can change its course so the last minute or 2 keep making it do random left and right points before impact but not too much because it might miss target and the Patriots will have a harder time possibly tracking and intercepting
Yes, you are right, there is also that aspect. Kinda feel the maneuvering is a little overrated, making turns will canibalize your range for CM and speed for HCVs... With patriot you can theoretically sneak up from behind since it is not omnidirectional. Making turns during final descent to evade interceptors could be a little hard to pull off without also completely missing the target afterwards. Could totally be wrong there and might play around with this in the future...
@@Simoholics-uk1py to be honest hypersonic missiles in general are over hyped and probably waste of time and money. They were designed for speed and maneuverability but we don’t have the technology to make them work seeing as US has wasted hundreds of billions in design and still having issues with little result. Russians and Chinese highly doubt they have much and their designs (which are untested) are propaganda tools. But on my opinion if you’re going to use a missile for speed and a single trajectory you might as well just use a regular old ballistic missile and overwhelm enemy defense with drones right before ballistic missile strike making you waste the drones. But yes you would have to move the launch platform or ship much closer if you plan on using more fuel to maneuver.
The Kinzhal hypersonic missile is a ballistic missile and is not capable of maneuvering. The Zhirkon is a hypersonic that can maneuver.
He do not only miss that, as well he missed another "detail" - such missiles come with several decoys, making the interception almost impossible - you need AT LEAST 2 interceptors for a target, and Patriot service record is miserable, with an interception rate a bit above 56% against ballistic, not hypersonic targets, and on a fix trajectory, without decoys involved. To be fair, missile specialists with active experience (military) already debated this, peoples with real knowledge, not kids on YT, and concluded it is almost impossible for the Patriot system to intercept a Zircon.
@@voidwalker9223 "to be honest" one describe the grapes as soar, when one is incapable to get them ! You need to educate yourself dude, swallow the facts, and learn the meaning of "honest". Murican engineers, sons of 4 mums, are proving to be decades behind.
FYI Zircon does not look like the illustration shown here and in 99% of all media surrounding it. What is shown here is actually a 1:1 photo of the X-51, and the various program stickers such as DARPA or P&W are often mistakenly left on the lower part of the scramjet for photos claiming it is a Zircon. Additionally, the booster stage is the same ATACMS missile booster found on X-51. As for the real shape, an illustration has floated around on SPF and the TW forums for many years depicting the missile as a two-stage solid-fuel ducted scramjet. What is remarkable about the illustration is that the recovered tail section from the missile shot down in Ukraine is a 1:1 exact match for what is found in the illustration.
Indeed, the X-51 seems to be the inspiration for the few renders that exist claiming to be zircons... I was not aware of this. Wonder if the design that is currently produced as "zircon" may be closer to the X-51 design than previous iterations, since it is well documented and probably does a few things right, thus explaining the wreckage.. Anyway this is really pure speculation on my part. But big thanks for pointing this out though!
@@Simoholics-uk1py Google ‘Zircon missile SPF forums’ and you will find what it most likely looks like. Scramjet inlet is similar to the American HyFly and as previously mentioned, the solid-fuel stage tail section matches what was found in Ukraine. The missile is very axisymmetric.
Interesting, western propaganda then
