Blood Money Trapping
Приєднався 8 лют 2014
Trapping information channel. I try a lot of different things to see how they work for me. Also some myth busting.
Pulling Bobcat traps, interesting find.
If you are trapping in cold weather make sure you use plenty of waxed dirt.

Great catch
Wow that is awesome good catch!!
Cool man good information.
You really wimped out man…..
@@Choppla101 how do you figure i whimped out? I only have one tag. I am done for the season.
Waxed dirt and dried peat moss... And double longsprings. Slide marks on the ice were otters like you said.
@@pensnut08 when a jaw makes contact with wet dirt and freezes in not even double longs fire.
Did you put pipe insulation underneath your pan?
@@zacharyhughed9823 I use poly under my pan . Always have. That is not the issue. The jaws and lever froze down on the ones the wouldn't fire.
Good stuff man. I always leave my traps outside so I am not setting a warm trap in cold ground .
@@SteveandSusiesHomestead that is just common sense. All my stuff is outside all the time. It was raining the day I set and I was hurrying. Just made a couple mistakes obviously. I still got my cat tag filled.
Congrats . Subbed ya... I cant wait to move up there . Trapping a Mi. Bobcat is on my bucket list . What zone are you in ?
@@SteveandSusiesHomestead D
@@trappingthenorthwoodswithg3799 ya me also , way over on the west side .
What do you do with them?
@@mrbigglesworth375 eat em.
@@trappingthenorthwoodswithg3799 I was asking a serious question. I deer hunt extensively in Michigan both rifle and archery. I have seen a few bobcats and some sign. Wondered about hunting them. What is your best recipe? How is bobcat summer sausage?
@@mrbigglesworth375 I like the taste of beef bcat without all the spices. It cool up nice and like most wild game it has a unique taste. Fried in butter with a touch of garlic is the way I eat it.
@@trappingthenorthwoodswithg3799 Have you tried it with a red wine dipping sauce?
Good job, Greg! I pretty much figured you'd be out after them. I have been chasing deer, but believe I may put a couple sets in during the last part of the season.
Love it.. Subbed!💯👍
Looks like you had some good catches. Hope your able to fill those otter tags!
COWARD
good job trapping. Keep it up. love watching these videos, just not in the small square picture.. keep it up.
Coyotes are flagging shy won’t typically go near it, and they don’t care for cubbies, flat or step down dirt hole sets with or without backing works well for me with coyotes, but I’m also in Vermont so not sure if it’s the same where you are but nice cat, watch those murder mittens 😂😂
Coyote won't go near a cubby here. I only have a 19 day cat season so I make a few sets for cats only.
Awesome
Where in mn are you? Great video, beautiful cat!!
In northern lower Michigan
Appreciate you sharing what you do. Maybe once in a while you could show us how you do some of you sets. Only ask because I enjoy your videos.
I will try. I trap as a hobby and am normally moving fast. I don't take videos every day and forget to get all catches on video. Maybe I can take my tripod with me this weekend. Thanks for watching.
Beautiful cat, congrats.
that's the fattest bobcat i never seen
It has more belly fat than I have seen on one.
Great video, Greg! I haven't even set a trap yet, but watching this gets me thinking I maybe could handle a bit of trapline exercise. Maybe I'll see you out and about.
First
Funny
Nice tom
Why are you trapping these beautiful creatures? It's so damn barbaric.
Why are you watching trapping videos if it is so barbaric? I do everything legal with the proper license and equipment. It's what I do. If you don't like it don't watch. 😊
Spring beaver dispersal would be the reason a bachelor 2 year old would end up in the pond- it would be attractive to find a vacant pod with hardwoods around.
what county are you in I know you won't give up the spot but the county would be nice for us old birds that haven't found any..I am gettoing ready to go to oscoda this weekend wish me luck please I am wanting to find some so so bad
These guys are fools to bring that small dog with them. Nothing more to be said.
Everyone has an opinion.
Awesome catches
Snares work great on trails also
Not allowed here.
nice check . the market was good on them this season .
Hello, I am a bit curious why trap beavers?
I sell the fur and eat the meat. Beaver are very destructive. They are a large rodent.
fcuk me is there nothing you will not kill are you eating them or just pissed for chopping a few trees are you killing them for food or just for the sake of killing them why not trap them and move them somewhere else or is that just to much effort damn leave the animals alone
Never listen to people on mushroom hunting if you do you will miss out
Hi Greg, Thank you for this really informative video. You seem to have a good command on trapping bobcats. I just got my very FIRST bobcat last Friday and am elated. I never could catch one on a baited set so do you think you could make an exclusive video on bobcats? We appreciate all that you do.-Paul
Nice Haul 👍, congratulations. Really enjoy your choice of Tunes 👍. Where are you located??
Northern lower Michigan
Good tunes
We have a lot of Bobcat in Mid Michigan
Damn over here in Connecticut we get fisher cats we get bobcats and we get links none of them are a real problem until they start going after your kids then kind of becomes a problem
I wish we had bobs. We are just a bit too far north and only get lynx. Great video
Stop hurting those poor innocent animals they did nothing to you
Stop watching my videos if you don't like it. I said that in the beginning
Look loike the one beaver still partilly alive i see it moving some oh well ex video
Nice catch for you lady did a awesome job very glad for you listen to your dad good teacher .And yes Greg is got to be a very poor sportman to take your trap or whatever
Greg you did a great job again keep them videos coming .i though you were in midland but i was wrong i am a ways from you manistee co
beautiful video Greg i wish i was closer to you so i could learn some of your trades maybe about 110 miles
Greg you are doing in ex video good luck i am south of you a ways you got a new sub
nice video good catches keep up the good work here in northern mi
Dude. GET THE DOG AWAY! Are you SERIOUS! You let your dog near that thing? Shame dude. If your dog wasn’t there, you could have let that cat know you were there to help and he’da let you without a box. Your heart was in the right place, and for that the cat and I thank YOU! You let your fear tho, and your dog lead to a less than all positive scenario. Thank you for your heart tho.
Have you ever released a bobcat? You do need a box or something between byou and the animal. The dog didn't hurt a thing. I love comments from people who don't know what they are talking about. It's entertaining. My dog goes with me in the woods every day. If anything he made the animals calmer.
Great video. Good common sense thinking in making the slot to pull his leg thru.
I have used the tote for several releases. The notch is definitely a help
I love animals. That bobcat was amazing to see. Glad you let him go uninjured. But just gotta say your dog is so calm and laid back. He needs a tummy rub.
