Never thought of this combo
There is lots of useful information with visuals, not just retelling the handbook. Neet tricks about class building and music and art are just magnificent! Hope your channel will grow Would love to see your version of Psi Warrior
I have a charter like this with 3 echo knight and rest in bladesinger and fights with a whip, rapier, and dagger. Whip is prime weapon
shame its all ai "art"
Echo knight is so homebrew. Always banned or frowned upon on all nearby tables. I guess its the free attacks every turn and sentinel interactions that makes them kinda ridiculous.
You only get the additional attack Con mod times per day so it really isn't that much. The strongest part of the subclass is at-will teleportation which is strong, but I wouldn't call broken.
You mention to lose the shield at level 4/wizard 3, but you actually want to lose the shield at wizard 2 because the Bladesong feature ends if you have a shield equipped. Love the build idea overall! Currently playing a mono-classed bladesinger, but I've got an idea or two myself for some multiclass builds involving it. Such a fun class!
Ah great pickup, thanks! And yeah I feel like theres some opportunities for some great multiclass builds using the bladesinger, especially that unique extra attack feature.
@@TalesmithTavern-dm1dranother good multi class build is with artificer but going deep enough to grab the battle smith subclass. You can go full gish with it because it'll let you use intelligence as your attack modifier. Then the rest of your levels can be wizard. Bladesinger in general is a great way for insane armor class but since you don't have to split your stats as much you can boost your Dex more for a high ac
Great production! I wouldn’t say this is the most optimized build but I’m not sure that was the point… and I like that! There are so many “optimizer” channels that focusing on the flavour is refreshing. Great job!
Thanks! Yeah there are so many great channels that focus on optimisation or min/max’ing for high DPR and the such. That’s certainly not my forte so rather than trying to enter that fray, I’d rather focus on the flavour and fun of a build, having a character who’s arc tells a story and interweaves their multiclass choices into that. It doesn’t mean you have to go full role play with your character, you can take sprinklings of ideas, but I think any exploration of how different backstories or story arcs can influence player decisions can set both player and DM for a more engaging and immersive experience.
The intro shows a lack of understanding of established lore. The raven queen is a lawful neutral goddess who works against undeath, while she sent Shadar-Kai to observe tragic events, she wouldn't have them orchestrate such events.
Thanks for the feedback! Highlights to me a blindspot I have and one where I should be more aware of where the character arcs and backstories I write interact with elements that may have more established lore. Definitely something I will take on board to investigate to ensure accuracy in future videos.
Why artifiecer? You can start as fighter if it is for concentrations spells.
Artificer unique as a half-caster class when it comes to multiclassing. Half-cast classes count as half a level per level of the class when multiclassing when calculating spell slots. Typically you have to round down. So 3 levels of ranger only count for 2 levels when calculating spell slots. Artificer is the exception, it rounds up instead of down. So 1 level of Artificer can count the same as any full caster. As such, taking a single level at the start gets you both CON & INT saving throws, as well as doesn’t slow down the spell slot progression the character would otherwise have. It’s the difference of a 6th level spell slot or not, if you take wizard to 10, when comparing an artificer or fighter start. As I said, you may go fighter, it’s up to you, it just means spell slot wise you will always be one behind what straight-classes would be running. Each to their own.
@@TalesmithTavern-dm1dr You are taking levels of fighter later in the build anyway, this makes the artificer dip a virtually useless level and puts you a full wizard level behind in wizard progression. Starting fighter 1 would make the build a bit worse at the start and far stronger after lvl 8.
@@crispy1691 True, it just depends where you choose to take the character after Level 13. With decent spells and slots under your belt you could take a 2nd level of Artificer to get infusions such as Mind Sharpener which just guarantees a concentration check when you fail the roll, or infuse your shortsword to be +1 if you haven’t got a magic shortsword yet. I’m not saying you have to take it, its just as viable to take fighter 1 at the start, both are solid options imo.
@@TalesmithTavern-dm1dr Thank you for detailed answer. I did not know that, but as fighter start I will eventualy catch up with spell slots and will get features faster. I am asking just from min max perspective.
@@TalesmithTavern-dm1dr That 2nd level of artificer costs you 9th level spells.
Wow the production quality on this channel is insane! I looks forward to seeing more builds! Keep up the great work!
Thanks! Looking forward to doing more builds!
I love my echo knight build. She's a hexblood, echoknight spore druid. Built on the idea of a moth to flames. Arylo the lesser goddess( she has a low int not my fault she thinks she's a goddess) lesser goddess of campfires.
Oooh that sounds like such a great mix to explore
Such an interesting character!! Loved the video!
I can see you put a lot of effort into making this build video, I like the idea and the aesthetic 🤙🏻 Great work!
