Matt has really been talking up TeroTuff lately. I’m impressed with the gloss finish that you were able to get from it. Did you use CA glue or is that just old fashioned sanding and buffing?

3M sell a tape to repair those belts.
@user-ff1hn7ve9e good to know. Everything of this sort that I have used so far causes a bad bump in the belt when it is against a hard surface. Hopefully the 3M tape is thinner.

Fabric backed belts can also be fastened across the ends of a curved piece of wood, like a violin bow. Very handy sanding strips, especially if you have a lathe.

I have been scroll sawing since high school an that was in the 60's kinda got away for a few years in the early 80's I discovered Hegner saw believe me over the years I have tried so many different types my 1983 Hegner Poly Max 3 is still going strong other than blade I've spent less than $100 on maintenance I don't think there is another scroll saw brand that holds up to what the Hegner brand does Great video keep scrolling

I have 2 Hegner saw my main saw is a Poly Max 3 my 14 in got out of line the motor an the arm holder I guess over years of work got out of adjustment the counter balance got damaged I got a replacement from Advanced Machinery they the authorized US dealer but that alignment is what caused my problem

Those palm swells are FIRE Dan ! It made me think of all the copper / aluminum shavings we have in a box here at work from where the guys drill through bus bar etc. for the elect. panels, which would also look cool in resin, especially if mixed together in a black or even blue pigmented resin. Beautiful job on that sling my friend. 👍👍
@darrellallen7931 thanks. The big issue is that the copper powder almost has to be so fine that it puffs in the wind or it doesn't stay suspended very well.
@@BIGDH2000 if the heavier curls / shavings sunk to the bottom of the mold, couldn’t you just epoxy the top of the slab to the G10 core, and as you rounded over the swells, wouldn’t that still expose the shavings of aluminum and copper ?
@darrellallen7931 you could, but they will feel terrible on the hand. It is very hard to sand it smooth since the materials are so different.
