This is an introduction to how you can use the Soundswitch DMX Light Software to control your Chauvet Gigbar Move.
So... I run my dmx on a sperate PC. So I have to let this program run on the same laptop as my dj program? I thought that was a big no no ?

This is really great, I DJ weddings and this light bar is so easy and versatile but the sound active mode/auto is terrible. This is the first video I've seen and hope you have more in your channel. I use algoriddim DJAY, would you happen to know if SS is compatible?
Does sound switch cost money?
If you buy a dongle it’s $30. If you buy the control one it’s $300. Then once you have the hardware it’s $7/month for the software
Unfortunately the gig bar flex profile on soundswitch is terrible. There's no control of the derby light motors or the UV light. Ended up returning it after not hearing back from tech support.
I have a gigbar2. But I haven't made the leap to soundswitch (yet). If I needed to switch to sound activated mode, can I do that from soundswitch, or do I have to do it from the fixture itself?
You would have to do it on the fixture, but you can do that through your foot switch or the remote that comes with it.

The Gigbar Move is designed for wedding DJs but wedding photographers hate it! 🙂

max capacity is 24k and its biggest crowd for a game was 28k

Ok but how did you get it to work, I have soundswitch, gigbar move, VDJ, ddj-sb2. Got everything downloaded, soundswitch connected to VDJ, soundswitch plugged in directly to gigbar move, nothing happens....how do I set the settings on the back of gigbar move to accept the soundswitch
It would've been nice if you went into more detail on how you got them connected, what channel is best, ect...for people who are not use to using software to control their lights. It seems every video I view on UA-cam didn't go into details on how you did this or that. You could've done better with this.
+1 would love if you could share a video on differences for DMX channels (simple vs modes), as well as how positions and attribute ques are set for this. Out of the box, sound mode on the gigbar seems to be way more lively and colorful over what soundswitch is generating for their scripts.
@@jackstromberg3586 Sorry dude. I'm still trying to figure soundswitch out. Just saw your message and still haven't gotten it to work the way I need it to. Can you please let me know what configuration you used to link soundswitch up (ie which Chauvet light fixture) did you use to get all the lights to work. My 2 moving heads are barley moving and point to the floor when activated.
This is my first time seeing this software.. do you know if its compatible with rekordbox ? I usually use rekordbox because of the lighting mode it has but i just bought 2 moving lights that are too complicated for rekordbox :/ so im wondering if i could run the moving lights on Sound Switch and sync it to Rekordbox 🧐

Are you running the sound switch software on the same laptop as your DJ software ?
Yes it runs in the background, but you can also connect it to another computer
If you connext it with another laptop how can it read your songs to know movemnt 😊@tissuerty
why the voice is mono?
what you didn't show was do you have to program each light (all 7 individually) to the DMX software. you're using sound switch but I may go with a standalone dmx board.

Amen to getting back to working. I'm just getting into the light show but watching my money. is the sound switch software a replacement for DMX? I have 2 bars that are clones of Chauvet they have DMX plugs have worked fine in beat mode. but I'd like to either get DMX or would this be a better idea as I just want to add some moving head lights to my 2 bars.

Just watched your video I too have the SS, Gigbar Move, Pioneer DDJ-SZ. I’ve not spent a lot of time configuring it correctly. However I use basic and I’ve configured the pads to over ride Red, Green, Yellow & Blue. When I need to override the colours. It would be great to learn the process required to be done to get the GigBar to move according to the beat.
I just purchased a gigbar move and I am using soundswitch. I am having the hardest time getting the Laser, Derby Heads Moving, and strobes to fire. I see you have them all set as attribute cues but is there any site you could recommend to configure them? I am new to DMX and would like to set these cues to work in autoloops if I could even get my gigbar to respond to any of them. Any help is appreciated!

Yeah same, a bit hard to program the movers, lasers. I wish you can have a video to show how to change or override some controls done by autoscript.
