Guitar straight into the amp. Didn’t have the amp for long.
Love P90’s but that Strat on Brother is the deal, he should always play both
@@ThomasInnamorato-g6g that Strat had a Duncan 59 Humbucker in the bridge.
It needs to sound like a pimp!
Fantastic player.deserves more recognition.
One or probably the best guitar seminars I’ve watched. Audrey is the man!
Cry of Love is an outstanding album! Audley's playing and that singer were stunning!!!
Kelly Holland on Brother and Rob Mason on Diamond and Debris
Dudley Freed, Guthrie Trapp, Tom Buckov, my favorite Nashville musicians, Rory Gallagher, Paul Kossoff, Gary Rossington and of course Jimmy Page my others, all down to earth humble no ego guys
Frickn spell check killin me😮😅
What he said!
I think he is one of the greatest players around. His work on the Cry of Love albums was amazing.
Great player.
“Santanaland!” Love it! Really dig how he knows how to play something, but is still able to put his own style to it. ✌🏻
The solos on Peace Pipe are epic!
Sunday Morning Flood really shows off his talent
So it’s 2023, and I’m just running into this. I started hearing Audley Freed (and knowing it was him) only few years ago. Now I seek him out. His skill and sensibilities are of the highest level, and his playing just really works for me. Gratitude and appreciation for these videos and to Audley, for sharing his views and his music.
very smart thanks
What a cool guy! Hella good player
Nobody sounds like Audley
And now yall grab the Cry of love albums
I can't even remember when I bought their debut but I still have it and it's staying with me, not going anywhere!
I saw this guy playing with Jimmy Page and he was Awesome! One of the greats.
Audley is such a fantastic player and humble guy cool guy. I supply vintage tubes for his former black crowes band mate rich Robinson for there 2022 world tour . I could tell rich's playing got a lot better after playing along side audley by 2022 . I could tell audley had helped rich . But of course ! ..... How could any guitar player help but not get better !! I'd love to some day cross paths with audley ... If nothing else birdhouse vintage audio tubes would love to serve him!
Audley he's our man,if he can't play it,it ain't worth playing. His feel is incredible and that little chromatic lick he does has eluded me forever but I'm gonna wear this cl u p out until I figure it out.thanks sir for being the awesome man you are
My late friend Ray wired 2 Strat pick ups onto his early model white SG. He had a Magnatone rebuilt by a local vocational school….and his tone was a Lincoln engine on a go kart…searing and sustained! RIP Ray.
Fantastic interview...
dont think I have ever seen an SG in that color before. I have to say that is one of the sexiest looking guitars I have ever seen.
Was thinking exactly the same thing!
Really nice to hear someone who likes to teach, is very humble and not pretentious at all! I'm really enjoying this!
So cool
What a great player and great info about guitar playing. There are too few players out there doing what Audley does so well, unfortunately… playing for the song with excellent feel and approach. It’s like everybody is shredding these days. Very refreshing clinic. Thank you Audley, brilliant!!
So great. Audrey is such a gifted player and knows what counts!! Killer. Thanks for the lesson
Just tried your settings on an Amp1 Mercury. Sounds killer. I even like it better in the low gain mode. Thanks for sharing!
I think my amp was in low gain mode.
@@andyc5729 That low gain mode is a hidden gem 🙂
@@c0ool0j just got a s/h Mercury with the manual, couldn’t find this hidden lo-gain feature, please can you reveal?
@@MS-Patriot2 just keep pressing the boost footswitch while powering up the Amp1. When the boost footswitch starts blinking your're fine. Have fun!
@@c0ool0j Thanks! 🤟
So much wisdom here.
What are the bass middle and treble on 12 o’clock?
Bass would of been about 4 (out of 10), treble no more than 5.5/10 Middle either 10/10 or 5. Probably 5 on this.
Great tone and playing, makes me want a SG 😀
Sweet guitars. Had 4.
Such a humble man.
Sounds really good to me 👍🤟
P-90s are one of the the most under rated pickups ever.
I have a gold top with P90s, a 15 watt hand wired Vox and a Beano boost and I wish I could sound that good.
sorry ..but i am going to steal some licks....not kidding ...hes a fantastic guitar player
A fking king
Great.
Thank you.
@@andyc5729 Amp1 Mercury is the best amp nowadays. I´m looking to buy a Les Paul like that. Orville are very good too.
Thanks for the video! It's hard to find decent recordings that aren't on Thomas Blug's own channel (great as they are). I'm waiting for my Amp1 to be delivered this week, and these are exactly the tones I'm after - just a solid and satisfying Marshall vibe at home volumes. It's got the crunch for sure. :)
Glad it’s helped. Enjoy.
@@andyc5729 Just wanted to reply back and let you know that I love this little amp! It's wicked! :)
I play my Eastman SB59v into the Bluguitar classic ch. Ferocious tone😎
Enjoy!
How does the amp sound on low volume? Would you recommend it for just home playing? Thanks!
This is low volume. Conversation level. It’s great for home volume
I have this amp too - setting up for a video soon as well - it's amazing... and has many hidden features including a power soak - so you can either play at low master volume or put it in half power mode to play at home - I just keep the master around 1.5 - to practice with a band is about 5 and a gig around 7....I am also using a 1x12 cab with a custom celestion in it (line 6 dt 25 cab)
Sounds great. How do you like the Mercury amp?
Best Marshall style amp I’ve had for home use.
Thank you so much for sharing these! I love them and was so bummed when I couldn't find them for a while!
No problem. Glad you’re getting a buzz out of them. It’s a shame Gibson pulled them years ago.
I love anything Roland. I have the microcube and just got the street cube EX.
This is great! Thank you for posting this!
Underrated player. Always blows my hair back.
Nice tone! Love the Burstbuckers. 👍
Thanks Wayne.
check out his playing on the Cry of love albums. phenomenal guitarist
Best Comment Award...
I sold my Amp1 and now miss it every day...
I'm curious, why did you sell it?
Love your playing! But you forgot to menshion Jimi, I mean Cry of love is all flavoured with him specially the second record
I hear a lot of Trower on D&D.
@@andyc5729 DnD is so lame compared to Brother. Kelly just was the MAN.
Much appreciation and respect for Audley Freed.
Thanks for reuploading these, I was gutted when Gibson removed em👍
