Hello from NW Montana! I've just started hunting mountain grouse this season. I mostly got ruffed grouse this year. Question: Do you hang your birds for a few days before cleaning them? I've seen some people suggest this. I've always cleaned them right away when I got home and usually cook them up either that or the next day. Just curious what you prefer.

caught a few massive brookies in a lake that I only fish in the winter. There is a better lake next to it for summer but the ice gives excellent access. Very few people fish it and it is never stocked so you don't catch a ton but the ones you do catch.. oh boy. People look at me like im crazy sitting out there lol. Heard it time and time again "Oh nobody catches fish in that lake" lol yaaa right bud.
