I’m late to the party here! I just found you. I have all of Gwen Bristow’s historical books. All so good! Elsywth Thane wrote 7 books called the Williamsburg series. All books are about 1 family in Williamsburg, VA starting during the Revolutionary War & end in the 1950s. I believe they were written in the 1940s. Also, Thomas Costain was a brilliant historical fiction writer, as was Irving Stone. I enjoy your podcast.

Good for you on the job move! My husband interned at a bigger accounting firm in Nashville and ended up leaving too because it was just too much for him and the culture didn’t line up with his beliefs etc. He now works at a local place in accounting and it’s better! Totally understand ❤

Have just finshed The True Love Bookshop by Annie Rains, I enjoyed it, was very slow to begin with but improved as it went on - think it is a book that needs to be read in long reading sessions though. Totally agree with you on the big books in a series, I need a break. I tried reading Outlander back to back , years go in 2007 I think, and I did not even know it was a series when I borrowed the first book from the library i got as far as the 3rd book and have not picked up the series since then😅. Should have taken a break

A Fine Romance is AMAZING. 😻 The North & South audiobook read by Juliet Stevenson is WONDERFUL.
