Belloq looked into the Ark and the sands were unleashed from the Ark, tumbling from its opening. The assembled company stepped away from the fearful device. Two of the Germans fled from the scene. "I hope I didn't drink too much." said Burgdorf. "I'm sure you drink too much." said Krebs. "What about you?" Monkhe reminded. "Quiet! All of you!" Hitler ordered. The sands whirled about the island and ghosts started forming, scattering all to terror and confusion. A thick choking cloud overtook the Germans and washed around Indy and Marion, still bound to the pole. Belloq looked in awe. Soldiers were gripped in the lash of the storm. Dietrich and Toht looked at the ghosts hovering about the island. Belloq admired them. "It's beautiful." Toht saw one of the ghosts approaching him and Dietrich. It formed in the image of a translucent woman, then left a ghastly demonic sight. Toht screamed and Dietrich shuddered at its appearance. Hitler and company screamed as they saw the footage. All the Sands and ghosts trailed away and rushed to the Ark. Belloq's amazement turned to utter terror and a pillar of fire used him as a conduit. Both colonel and Gestapo agent were struck with terror from unmistakable sights. The pillar of fire gathered around Belloq and burst into lightning, shafting through the Germans. The three terrified men were left out. Fires widened and became white and raged around them. It was way hotter than the sun. Punishment was meted to them. Dietrich's head compressed and twisted under fearful contortions and his eyes rolled till they were white. Gestapo's face was wrought a grotesque image and by far the scariest of them all. His face started melting, peeling off, stripping his very sinews. Blood poured from his mouth and face, leaving only the bloodied skull. In a hail of noise and confusion his body was blown apart in a shattering burst of light. "Saffat - Enough!" Hitler shouted. "I did not mean to ruin your morning." said Günsche. "How did you even lasted and not get your face peeled off?" Hitler demanded. "Goebbels and I heard Indy urging his bitch to shut her eyes." said Günsche. "We didn't know why.
