Some resorts place folded towels on the chairs for guests so that you know they AREN'T reserved. I don't know about this resort but when we visited Excellence as well as Ocean Coral and Turquesa, they placed fresh towels (folded) on the available chairs and when you take them, the staff unfolds the towel and places it laid out on the chair to show it's taken. Just throwing that out there though, I have no idea how this resort works with their chairs, though.

Stayed here in March 2020 its amazing .. DONT buy anything in shops though in resort there a lot more expensive then outside .. also dont do a bus excursion go to the concierge and book a cab for full day to take you anywhere you want costs about 3000 pesos mexican then the local entrance fees are pennys at say maya ruins etc

You said two of the restaurants you had to pay? Hmmmm, thought it was.ALL inclusive? Which ones were they? Also, we don’t drink beer but do drink hard alcohol,....that’s all served there too right. Lol. One more thing, the rules of dress codes for the eating had men having to wear long pants and shirts with sleeves. REALLY? I can’t wear khaki shorts with a comfortable T shirt? Does it have to be a long sleeve shirt for men? Oh,....one more question. Is the water crystal clear like we have down here in south Florida? Don’t wanna go there if not. I’m use to crystal clear! You can't really say the platinum is not worth it. Depends on how you travel. If you enjoy waiter service at the pool and at the beach, and easy booking of the spa and restaurants the platinum is where you want to be. Deluxe accommodations are crowded, and the bar is packed. I have been many times and enjoy the perks of platinum.
