    Always great videos... In the Develope Module..Lightroom all of a sudden is closing an editing panel as soon as I open another panel. How do I turn this auto-close feature off? It is slowing me down to constantly reopen panels. Thanks in advance. Phil

    To perform this operation your battery must be fully charged or at lest 60 percent. Below that the menu will be greyed out.

    fyi the feature you are describing at 7:29 is a DETENT, a ball makes the clicking sound, and adds friction to make it rest there.

    Just my own personal opinion but I would be careful cleaning (or rather overcleaning) the rubber gasket if you are using anything alcohol based. I know that your cloth looks dirty after wiping the gasket but this is because you are stripping the oils from within the rubber. This will dry the gasket out making it brittle, of course this is directly related to how many times it gets cleaned.

      One thing to know though they are very very easily replaced as well as cheap. I've been cleaning mine like this for 10 years and still haven't had to replace any of them except on my adapters. The EF to RF adapter from some of the third parties can be a pretty flimsy and I've had to take mine apart and put them back together to fix contact points and things like that. But you are 100% correct with cleaning rubber with alcohol you can dry it out

      The FTZ doesn't support AF.

    • @PastorCory
      @PastorCory Рік тому

      Ftz doesn't support autofocus for d series lens, you need a g lens for autofocus to work

    • @123maiji
      @123maiji Рік тому

      @@PastorCory more accurately, you need a lens with a built in motor (AF-S, AF-I or AF-P) in order to get autofocus using a FTZ adaptor. there are plenty of D-type lenses that satisfy this criteria (e.g. AF-S 28-70mm f/2.8D). conversely, there are some G-type lenses which will not AF with the FTZ (e.g. AF 70-300 f/4-5.6G)

    I can’t believe you don’t use a magnet screwdriver, or at the very least, just magnetise the one you already have. It’s incredibly quick and easy to do and the difference it makes is (almost) life-changing! Seriously. Especially when doing things with such tiny screws as those in a lens or any fiddle place it is just SO much more convenient, a great time saver and saves on unknown amounts of frustration. You can buy a commercial magnetiser/demagnetiser from eBay for all of $5 or from just about any hardware store or just open up an old hard drive and use the insanely powerful magnets they all have inside them. At a stretch, you could also use the magnet on the rear of any decent sized speaker (cone, the actual driver, not a rectangular speaker box. Lol) or sub. Regarding your vid, thanks very much for this. A nice, quick and simple method to remove dust and I’m guessing it’ll be the same for nearly every Nikon lens as I’m pretty sure they all have those same 3 screws holding in the rear element.
