Hi Jen, before you had the RFA, was your nodule still growing? My thyroid nodule has been fna twice both times came out as benign but it's still growing and is currently 7.3cm. I had a ent deny me an RFA but I don't know if it's because I'm not a good candidate or they want us to spend more on a thyroidectomy.

Dr Camacho did my embolization in September 2024. Two weeks out I am more than happy to that I did it and I see the results already. Mine was almost 200ml.

I have multiple large cancerous thyroid nodules, and don't really have a choice in getting the total removal in just a couple of weeks.... I'm not that scared of the actual surgery, I'm scared of the hormone replacement making me feel terrible! Any advice?

I have 5 thyroid nodules 2 look suspicious on ultrasound I go in November 6th for a biopsy. I also have atherosclerosis. Not a fan of chemo or radiation. If it is cancer I do want to do something and not let it spread either. All my labs and thyroid levels are excellent and I'm asymptomatic. Any suggestions?

I wish I had never had the other half of my thyroid removed after hurtle cell thyroid cancer. The RAI was even worse. Have had nothing but trouble after it all.

Hi Jen, Im Georgie from Australia currently living in the Philippines. Im currently on my journey to a rfa procedure. Due to psychiatric issues, Im currently on antipsychotics and and anti-anxiety medication. Because of this, i was very frightened of going through a thyroidectomy.

This video was a blessing. I am in Eastern North Carolina and my adult daughter with Autism has a diagnosis of a large goiter. Surgery has been recommended, however she's against surgery. And I personally, as a mom who has just lost my younger sister to a chronic illness last November 2023...I'm not wanting her to have a thyroidectomy either. I've been praying for another solution. I came across this video today and wanted to cry. God is this the solution Ive been praying for my daughter. It is definitely something I'm discussing with my daughter and her doctor at the end of this month. Thank you and God bless you!

I have tirads 3 bilateral thyroid nodules i am taking selenium, iodized salt,.d3+k2 and zinc now. Lets see if it works for 3months coz i have to do another ultrasound in december

I’m so so grateful and blessed as I’m having surgery soon on my parathyroid and my surgeon is… Dr Tufano! We have met once so far for consultation and he made me feel so confident with my future surgery and was kind , compassionate and understanding of all my past trauma. Dr’s like him are a rarity.🙏🏻

My tumour was growing so large it was about to stop me from breathing. After they removed it and half of my thyroid I was doing fine. Then they discovered it was Hurtle Cell and said I had to have the other half removed and RAI. It was after the second surgery and RAI that the struggles started. Now at 54 I just feel like giving up and hopefully, some other disease will take my life.

I love Dr. Russel. He did a partial thyroid removal , in my case I had no other option. I love that he treats each Patient individually and not 1 treatment fits all

I was diagnosed with small Thyroid Nodules in 2019. By 2022 my nodules had grown large, and the Doctor's recommendation was surgery, no alternative was suggested. When I did my own research I found that RFA (Radio Frequency Ablation) is being done to shrink the nodules. I brought this to my Endocrinologist and she referred me to a specialist who made me wait 7 months to see her. By then, according to this Doctor, I was no longer a candidate for RFA because my nodules were already too big for this treatment to be effective. Once more she advised surgery as the only solution. So I went back to research, and this is when I found Jen's interview with Dr Camacho. Because of the way Dr Camacho presented information on this procedure I immediately trusted that he was the Physician that would help me save my Thyroid. I contacted his office,, and in 3 weeks I was in Sarasota, FL. Having the procedure done. 3 Months later the results of my C-Scan show an 85% reduction of the nodules. A million thanks to Jen for bringing Dr Camacho to your blog. My experience with Dr Camacho has been the best I had in my 83 years of life. He is a caring, gentle, beautiful person and obviously an excellent Physician. He has a team of real professionals working for him. Dr Camacho and all members of his team followed up and kept in contact before and after the procedure. I am very grateful to him and his team and I highly recommend this Doctor if you don't want to lose your thyroid to surgery.. He has been a blessing to me. I had hemithyroidectomy last month, supposedly total thyroidectomy but physicians unable to do so because my nerve collapsed. My right vocal cord doesn’t move at all but my left moved a little bit. Do you think when my nerves get better that they can do RFA on my left nodule? It’s 1.9cm. It was my right that they removed with only 0.9cm nodule + papillary carcinoma :(

I had one biopsy from an ENT. They said I needed to get an ultrasound after a year and they haven’t even called me back and it’s been over a year. Where I live is near Sarasota, Florida and all the good doctors are there so I have to drive about an hour to get to any real good doctors.

Is this the same code that would be used for thyroid embolization?

I have lymph node involvement in right side with two 7mm or less thyroid nodules. Papillary thyroid cancer found through FNA in one nodule and several nodes.

I had one nodule 1.3cm, and a 75% chance it was cancerous. Dr. Kandil charged me $6,000 to ablate the nodule. My other option was surgery here in MI. The hospital was going to charge my insurance $30,000 to remove half of my thyroid. I would have had to pay my entire deductible which ironically happens to be $6,000. I feel fortunate I was able to afford RFA. I truly hope our medical system sees the value it has in the future.

$6800 to treat both my thyroid nodules. Dr. Brady has a payment plan which is nice.

After radiation, I got a nodule which they say is benign, is it necessary to get it removed?

Sir my thyroid nodule FNAC says Bethesda 1 . My lymph node FNAC says Bethesda 3 . My PT cet had called for possible primary thyroid investigation . Now what should I do ? I live in India and had my FNAC 's just two days ago right after my PET CT. They are saying to repeat thyroid nodule FNAC which came up as Bethesda 1 only two days after . I am not keen on needles in and out every 2-3 days . Please advise
