Gold bones give a bonus 200G at the end of every level assuming you didn't die during the level and were revived through that. Since it only takes 200G to get a gold bone from unchecked furniture that typically doesn't have something in it, it's a pretty easy and quick way for some extra gold.

Honestly I dont really think any of them are that bad, that being said, I don't run a ton of ILs so I couldn't fairly answer which is the worst level to speedrun. Some levels are difficult in general like c-5, d-3, and e-5 since it does require some skill to do fast. If I had to pick a least favorite instead of a worst especially during this run it'd have to be c-5.

I will definitely be doing another 100% run soon. I've been working on tightening up my strats and the run as a whole for the past couple weeks. I aim to get a big PB when I do this next run.

There’s a document made by one of the community members that details the math going into the star rankings and the estimates needed to reach the targets. That said this category doesn’t actually require 3 star rankings on every mission and is more so of an “all collectibles” category. If you’re interested in the document I’d be more than happy to share it.

Yeah, reaching the end of a level with a gold bone gives a bonus 200G which is very handy.

That explains why I couldn't het 3 stars in some levels. Good job on the run too btw

It went out of bounds, it happens sometimes in Dark Moon too. I was a little bummed to have it happen here, but I'm guessing I'll figure out how to avoid that in the future.

For 100%, yes. In the original, there were only specific things that made the E. Gadd lab cutscene unskippable when returning from a level, but in LM2HD it's everything. Exiting the game via the home menu saves roughly 15-20 seconds per time over sitting through the unskippable cutscene. I believe there's only one level in the whole 100% run that I don't have to home menu reset on.

Sometimes it's a choice to get a gold bar from it. The blue gauge on one ghost gives three coins, green gives a gold bar, and red gives three gold bars. Multiple ghosts with those gauges can also yield more money so I do intentionally charge the gauge all the way up as well on certain ghost sets since I need to hit 20k gold during the run.

It's one of my favorites as well. Very happy it's on the Switch now since it makes speedrunning it more feasible for me.
