Why would you remove the 15 amp cigarette plug. That allows you to plug in an inverter or other things. Just get it USB insert that goes in the dash tabs and connect that Then you could actually connect it to the ignition if you wanted as well. If the van now sits the USB device you installed will eventually drain the battery. The cigarette lighter doesn't draw any juice unless something is plugged into it.

Watched with great interest as we have a ‘19 extended sprinter as well. Ours was 80% built when we bought it. Batteries and power was already in place. We upgraded inverter, charge controller, etc to include more lithiums. After all said and done, about a year later spouse said maybe install shore power. Where to put it! How handy for us you made this video! Thanks. Our power is on driver side, thus a shorter power cord. Still pondering on installing it. You provided a link for install on driver side, but that link is broken. Personally, I’m thinking I should black vinyl wrap everything below the rubber already there and it wouldn’t be noticeable at all. But this is a great option to drilling holes for sure. We are in Albuquerque!

2 years after this video the mpg on the 4 cyl in a conversion is no better than old motor

I’ve got a fully loaded 2020 4cyl diesel and use it as a daily driver with no complaints. It’s quick on the freeway and cruises at 85mph. I take it to the sierras, dirt roads, beach and sand. The only area of concern is steep grades, which it seems underpowered but still cruises at 70-80mph with the peddle to the floor BUT I can’t say if it would be much better in the 6cyl and for the amount of steep grades I drive on here in California (which is more than most places) It’s not an issue.

Question, I was pumping diesel with engine on and it just turned off and wouldn't turn back on but would crank and lights came on dash. Is this what happened to you. I replaced my cam sensor as well and thinking about doing the crankshaft sensor now as well. Also windows won't roll up now with wtf lol

When I took my wrangler with 31's down there it really didn't work well, but when I went back with 35's it seemed to float over the sugar sand. Really wonder how well bigger tires would benefit a sprinter. I usually go about ten miles up.

The only thing really good about that V6 was that it has the CP3 high pressure fuel pump that is bullet proof. The new 2023 switch to a more fragile High pressure fuel pump. When this HPFP fails it ruins full injectors and fuel tank etc... It can be a mess. But the 2023 4banger will run a lot faster and more efficient
