At this point, how do you move the hands?

How about if the hands are not blocking the digital screen? Will the hands still move?

I believe that the hands will move if they are not blacking the screen. They do a little "rock back" to check their alignment. You shoudl be able to press the buttons as I show in the video and they will do their thing. If they get stuck, just do the same thing and they'll go back.

The GA2100 has a daylight savings time function. You need to check that it's on if you're in DST at the moment. As of right now, it should be. It's hard to see on this model because of the black on black, but there's a little spot that should have a dot on the upper right of the screen next to tiny text that says "DST." Make sure that it's set to DST and that you have the proper date. It should turn over on the correct date, unless you live somewhere where they change on a different day than the market your watch was made for.

How did you make the hands move to the correct time? At first I thought you adjusted the digital and then the hands later moved on its own. For a watch that’s so advance with features, they should make it more simple to adjust the time and date. This is like figuring out a world mystery. Lol!

@@jacknjill3000 Here are my steps 1. Long press the Adjust button 2. Press the Mode button and select the time 3. You can adjust the hours using the light button 4. Pressing the Mode button again will enable you to set the minutes using the Start button 5. The hands should automatically adjust themselves after you’ve set the watch. Press Adjust to finish

1) Yes, the rotor is unusually loud on mine, but it's not the loudest I have. And 2), Yeah, there is no lume on the hands. I believe I skipped the lume shot in this video for that very reason. I double checked at the time, and that's the spec. Not sure why they bothered with the lume on the numbers. They couldn't have done Snoopy's entire arm, but they could have done his paws!

Yeah, it’s not as scratch resistant as I thought it would be. Already scuffed mine up. Thinking of doing a video soon to see how easy it is to buff it out.

The Seiko 809 isn’t a bad watch! But yeah, I’d choose a TJB x Timex Expedition for durability and overall style. That being said, the Seiko 809 is out of production, so try to pick one up before they’re all gone!

I can see why you’d think it was gloss. It’s subtle, but I’d still call it matte. I looked to see what other sources say, and it looks like Hodinkee agrees: “We now have a matte black dial that's updated with applied circular hour markers […]” www.hodinkee.com/articles/q-timex-gmt-2022

I can’t compare it to a Tudor, but I’d say it’s as comfortable as both of my Oris Diver Sixty Five watches!

Haha yeah, it is kind of strange now that you mention it. I guess all my other GMT watches have a date on it, so I never thought about whether it even makes sense.

@@watchitweekly I would say the hands, but this watch is what it is. I would wear it for a summer holiday if it had screw-in crowns.

Yeah, I find the hands on character watches a little challenging to read sometimes. A screw down crown would definitely make this more versatile!

It feels great on the wrist. As good as my Oris x Hodinkee Caliber 400. The band tapers from 22mm down to 18mm. I believe it takes 20mm straps, but I haven’t tried swapping it out.
