I agree with you 100%. When Floor sings Tarja's songs it doesn't sound as good as Tarja. But Floor has great songs with Nightwish and the new songs that are made for Floor (like the new album) sound beautiful and fit her voice. I also agree with you about Dan, he is simply the best!!!! 😄❤❤ Thank you very much.

CLASSIC Tarja era song! Floor does great here, but later she started adding more vocal parts at the end like in the Wembley version and later in the Hellfest 2022 version! OH, and there is an ACOUSTIC version on Planet Rock w/ just Floor singing and Troy Donokley playing the acoustic and it is FLAWLESS!!!!

Wiki I'm not quite sure what the video is about exactly, but MY interpretation (which could be wrong) is that the fallen angel represents a s*x*al predator and all the girls in white represent innocent victims. Again, not sure if that's what Kittie had in mind but later they would make a video about trapping a s*x*al predator and beating him up in the video "Die, My Darling" from their 2009 "In the Black" album. It's always good to see the beginnings of a band and see just how much GROWTH they've had since!!! This first album they started writing songs when they were as young as 12!!!! Most were written when they were around 15/16 years old . This album was put into the "Nu Metal" genre. BUT, their NEXT and 2nd album went in a whole other direction where singer Morgan PERFECTED her screams and growls, it was DARK and it was HEAVY!!!! Their 4th album is when they REALLY started to mature musically when lead guitarist Tara McLeod joined!!!! (although Kittie HATED their 4th album because of its production and its much "softer" sound). Their 5th and 6th albums were GREAT and then they had their 13 year hiatus that led to their releasing their album "Fire" this year w/ One Foot in the Grave! The WHOLE album from start to finish is SO good!!! Listen to the NON hit singles like "Falter" and "Wound" and "I Still Wear This Crown", very melodic and very heavy w/ Morgan using BOTH her beautiful clean vocals and her perfected screams and growls!!!

Yes this is from their first debut album "Spit". They were young teenagers here. Same album that the song "Brackish" is on. They were still in high school when recording this album. They literally had to bring their homework into the studio lol

Marko has said that this is a "love song", a poetic, mythological & metaphorical love song of a man (Devil) and woman (Mermaid of the Deep Dark Ocean- the Oceanborn) where she does not return his love or seductions. "I will die for the love of the mermaid, Her seduction, beauty and scorn. Welcome to the end of your life, HAIL the OCEANBORN". This creates chaos in the Mermaids world, “Disgraced is my virginity, death has woven my wedding dress”. As the Mermaid begs “Leave me be!” the Devil says “This apathetic life must drown”. The music then becomes intense and the stage lights turn BLUE (for the Ocean) as the Siren belts out these sharp staccato notes. In the end they break up "setting the dolphins free". Their "song" is over but will “echo” and carry on, "the eternity will begin once again in peace" they both move on. Metal Musical Theater at its best!!!

I hope you noticed that Simon and Bruno threw up their hands after the second verse, assuming she was finished--but the third verse was just extraordinary. When you react to her original audition, you will really feel her incredible personality. But note that her backstory is primarily failure in musical theater, plus she has low self esteem, so compared to My Way, Tomorrow is somewhat tentative. I think that's why the judges and the audience did not expect such a powerful performance in My Way, as most auditioners give it their best on the first audition. Nice comments, Bassi. When we talk about the best singers, I think that we are all talking about non-operatic singers who have been recorded so it would not include the illustrious Jenny Lind. So with that understanding, I will state that Lucy is the best singer of all recorded time. Lucy is always musical, never screaming or screeching, never using tricks or gimmicks and that makes a huge difference. On top of that, her voice is pure and beautiful, her technique is impeccable, skills unmatched, and breath control is unapproached by anyone else. She is the best singer in recorded history. Try her early stuff.....She was that good as a kid already......no wonder she was snapped up and signed to a label by the age of 13. She did "Memory" at the age of 15. Just unreal. Hooked ever since...lol

Basically take a chart of every kind of music that includes vocals, put it on the wall and throw a dart at it. Whatever the dart hits there's a pretty fair chance she could sing it. A little prove of that here and there. Their songs Beggars Dance, Prologue, I Speak Astronomy, Judgement and Punishment, Bad Water. All of those show her versatility. The colabs with other artists she's done as well.

Early Kittie went through a lot of different members, but the Lander sisters remained the core of the group (Mercedes on drums and Morgan on vocals/guitar). This is from their 3rd album "Until the End". The blonde guitarist in the video is LIsa Marx, she wasn't in the band long, not even a full year. The bassist is Jennifer Arroyo, she's a bad ass bassist. At this time Kittie was in a lawsuit w/ their record label, if I'm recalling it correctly. Lisa and Jenn left shortly after. This song was the only single/video off the album and while its a radio friendly hit, it got a LOT of play on MTv and Vh1 and Much Music in Canada. The rest of the album is WAY heavier w/ songs as "You look so pretty (digging your grave)" and "P*ssy Sugar". Their first album "Spit", which you reacted to Brackish, was in the Nu Metal genre. Their 2nd album Oracle went in a more death metal sound!!! This 3rd album stayed in that direction with a couple of mellower songs like this one.

Her name is Angelina Jordan, she is a Norwegian, whole family moved to Los Angeles in 2018 when she was 12. She is 18 now. The video in the thumbnail is her home practice of the same song as this reaction, cover of Million Years Ago by Adele. Please react to that video, as an introduction of new artist to your channel.
