Mine is a 20" Blue in 44mag, and I bought it to be a working gun. I removed the buckhorn, added a picatinny rail and a Holosun 503 red dot. It turned my shoulder green for weeks after my first trip to the range, so I've since added a recoil pad, and now my shoulder only turns green for weeks after I take it to the range :O ...It's fulfills it's purpose well, as long as it's purpose isn't to be fun at the range... it'll wipe the smile off your face with the first full magazine.

Everybody that removes the buckhorn sight says it's super easy. I had to use a dremel to grind it out. Tried a punch and hammer but just ended up scratching the barrel.

I've had good luck in my Buckmark semi handguns with two different batches of the Aguila super extra from two different stores. There is always a chance of a bad batch I guess. I usually just buy the smaller 50 and 100 round boxes of 22's. If they shoot good then I go buy more. since I don't go through as many rounds as some the cost is not prohibitive. I am lucky that even though I live in in the state of New Dork(New York) the nearby wally world's have plenty of Cci mini-mags. When I add the cost of gas to go elsewhere for different cheaper ammo I don't save anything. At least that's the justification I use anyway.

Winchester has really fallen off, their QC severely lacking...and some of their .22 offerings just flat don't do good in autos...we like Aguila, I think it is more consistent than Winchester, but it too, sometimes doesn't seem to run well in our autos...we shoot the brands in our levers and revolvers, where it doesn't matter how they run...easy to chalk up both brands as typical .22...

I didn't know savage 64 comes in a left hand version. I'm left handed too but my left dominant eye is going bad so I'm teaching myself to shot right handed with rifles and shotguns.

This stuff works IF the seal is dry but not cracked. If its cracked or torn itll just make it worse. It softens hard seals to allow them to properly seal against the sealing surface again.

2-3 oz of At-205 reseal should do the job for front differential
