The Centre for Healthy Brain Ageing (CHeBA) is a premier research institution at UNSW Sydney, investigating brain ageing. The Centre is headed by internationally acclaimed leaders in the field, Scientia Professor Perminder Sachdev and Scientia Professor Henry Brodaty.
CHeBA's vision is to change the future of age-related brain disorders through key research and the translation of policy into practice.
CHeBA's mission is to enhance the evidence base in relation to prevention, early detection, and treatment of age-related disorders, in particular brain diseases, and improve the health care of individuals affected by these diseases.

Wipeout Dementia 2024: A monumental success! 🌊
Amidst Sydney’s torrential rain and flood warnings, the spirit of resilience and solidarity shone brightly at Wipeout Dementia.
Despite this year's challenging conditions, the Captains, teams and Ambassadors Owen Wright, Mark ‘Occy’ Occhilupo and Wayne ‘Rabbit’ Bartholomew AM all rallied together - demonstrating a clear commitment to combating dementia and raising nearly $250,000 for CHeBA. This effort underscores the power of community and an unwavering dedication to bettering the lives of people impacted by dementia.
Congratulations to Michael Gordon for taking home the 'Gnarly Award' for highest individual fundraiser and leading the Buildcorp sponsored team (pictured) to highest fundraising glory and a coveted ‘money can’t buy’ private experience gifted by URBNSURF.

Diagnosing Alzheimer’s Disease

I have noticed that so many Psychiatrist seem to have no idea about TD or Akathisia or how to treat it and they cannot help my patient at all. Can someone recommend someone based in Sydney who is well versed in this particular treatment area?
