Episode 1: Cutting, splitting and loading around 3 tonne of firewood for our cold Australian winter.
The sound of a chainsaw will always remind me of those hours my dad, brother and I, and sometimes my mom would spend collecting firewood up on the mountain. I always hated it, but we haven't gotten a load in a while, and now my dad will never be able to come with again. It's strangely nostalgic, isn't it?
Thank you for sharing your story with us. It is definitely hard work on cold days which can sometimes feel like a chore. But it has now become family bonding for us and will always be nostalgic for us too.
@@Woodsmith_and_Co. truth be told, I'd much prefer working through a chilly morning than a boiling afternoon. I haven't taken a trip up the mountain in a while, and autumn is coming quick.
