Our daycares in Ontario were booked up with no openings until late 2026 D: luckily the wife is able to stay watching her and has a little home side business which we wouldn't have been able to afford watching her back in Ontario which was a big reason for our move to Lethbridge. Moved to absolutely middle of nowhere bc for my first house, it’s hardly a sacrifice with todays “everything in our culture is on the internet”. Would have rented forever in vancouver. Small towns should really be considered for young couples. Trading wolf spiders for black widows was a bit of a side-grade though

My combined heat and hydro here in Manitoba in a 1,100 sq ft bungalow currently is about $5.00 a day/$158.00 a month with equal billing, there is always 1 catch up month with no charge and one month with a partial charge. Its gone up maybe $25.00 since our crime minister started showing his *ommunist side. I am interested in solar power simply because a long term power outage on the Prairies would be devastating and the WEF keep mentioning it. I would keep my extra hydro off the grid so I can use the system when its needed and it will be needed.. I think in the coming months when the shtf you may consider doing that as well.
