@@JagerMO2 Definitely, one of the best video clips I've seen in a while. We ran people off the cliffs a few times with mounted combat but not in that number or with the below view. Super fire. ❤‍🔥

It was just a clip that I thought was funny. Yup Coalition will grey up on you if you're on our list. They will kill the guards in the guard tower they chased you to. We will watch you load up your bags and leave town and will catch up to you.

if you're just normal player who only mind their own business you'll be fine in the sands no one from coalition is going to kill you unless you're enemy

If you go Grey in the sands. And do evil criminals things. the meduli defense force will find you!

@@JagerMO2 coalition also grey up to total new player this happened in the past, in the present and also in the future. maybe u have the rule but dont work well.

We used to have mounted guilds in the area that would stand and fight, and were actually good and not just trinket crutching thursars with max dmg asyms constantly running away from the fight. We'll take what we can get. The rabbit chase is fun for sure, but real mounted fights that go to the ground at the end are objectively better. Not our first "mounted ganker" group in our area either, DrCheese/MrCheese was 10x better than the current class, Karni used to bring a mounted group from time to time, was crazy fun. We still occasionally get the UDL group here, they're very good. But you can't maintain the same expectations for other groups. gf

@@JagerMO2 Thank you Jager for dealing with these Ticklemonsters guys it seems multiple times a week they kill me with 2-4 guys and take all my stuff. I am new and was about to leave Meduli but I seen this video. I will make a mounted character and join you against these guys.

@@JagerMO2 We have a unique playstyle that sometimes requires standing and fighting and other times requires careful retreating. I hope one day we can stand and fight against your 12 man minimum against our 2. But today is not that day, we are weak and non-effective without proper training.

Mostly "high" settings in-game, I try to reach a balance with how the game functions while I'm recording at the same time.

The "you had more numbers" argument is my absolute favorite. Each scene in this video is our group responding to another group that "zergs" solo farmers in our area and runs when they encounter equal or more numbers. Or they're on our enemy list and were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Run rabbit, run. Not my fault you didn't bring more friends.

Jager beat me to it. Exactly that. We have people in groups that are killing innocents around Meduli and you want a fair fight from us? No shot. We aren't playing kickball here. Get the fuck out of the Sands if you're gonna be a shithead.

The end game is siege warfare (territory control). Why do you NOT expect zergs?

There are a lot of people who devote their gameplay to killing the population meaning ganking new players at small pois. Don’t go to meduli after haven.

It's true that MO2 doesn't have a high daily population, but you definitely run into people while traveling and farming at points of interest quite often. Guilds collide at farming locations all over the place, especially newer locations. I feel like with the addition of the Mastery System and the adjustment of various values within the game has people rerolling characters and needing various materials has the markets plenty active. Fights have people needing to replenish gear/materials as well. I'd suggest joining a guild soon after Haven, they should be able to properly bring you up to speed and you'll get into some group pvp. Playing solo in this game can be rough. Every town will have small groups roaming and looking for easy targets. There are plenty of mmos out there where you can safely PvE farm, but we play this game for the thrill of possible PvP while your back is turned farming. Or during your transport back to town with the loot you farmed for hours. Ganking is an intended part of this game, it's part of the fun. With every loss I ask myself what I could/should've done differently to either prevent what happened or come out on top next time that happens.

@@JagerMO2 honestly this is right up my alley! I love adventure and the thrill of not knowing what's gonna happen. I just wanted to make sure there were plenty of people online to keep the game from feeling stale or empty since there's not really any quests beyond what you choose to do from my understanding. @@pulseight8038 I plan on staying in Haven for a while. I'm used to melee combat like mordhau and chivalry 2 and I think I'm a pretty decent player so hopefully I pick up on the combat quickly! Seems pretty similar but I could be wrong. Is this a game where a lvl50 could kill a lvl 1 no matter how good they are or is every battle fair game depending on your skill?

There are going to be some veteran players that have their characters maxed out and have been playing that style for years now, and if you run up on them in the wild as a brand new player, even if you're decent, it will likely not turn out well for you. Especially due to the difference in gear the two of you would have. But skill absolutely plays a part, I've heard Mordhau translates well.

Siege fights can be fun, but I still think SV needs to make it to where the building is lootable right away when destroyed. And maybe extend the siege windows a bit, sieging a Keep could take the entire duration of the window to accomplish.

@@JagerMO2 I do agree we need more work behind the whole TC thing. But I also don't want it to become rust where everyone sieges every house.

Agreed, hopefully SV finds a fun way to balance it out without leaving an avenue for large zerg guilds to take advantage of it, negating said balance.

The overall game and the combat are fun for sure. They've made a lot of progress over the years and it's finally getting to a good place content-wise.

@@JagerMO2 I can't justify jumping in to learn what appears to be a game with incredibly deep mechanics. I think the concept here is something very very unique. I'm surprised how relatively unknown MOII is all things considered. I want to play but simply don't have the time or energy to learn such a complicated game.

New players should learn the basic in Haven, and join a guild as soon as they can. The guild should bring new players up to speed as best they can. I'm sure it appears daunting from the outside.
