yes bottom arete is an old Al problem that he would have boulderers out. The upper arete I expect he prepared , though I never asked him, it is far too high to jump off and hard e7.

That's really funny! Nick, I was thinking about you just a couple of days ago, your driving, and your old green Saab! Nice to see this being climbed 😉x You climb it differently to me. I didn't bother with the top wall, as you end up at the top of the Heartless flake anyway, but went direct through the scoop at the start. I think it climbs in a really balanced way like that. The name Art Brut - often thought of as art produced when people are disturbed in some way - is a reference to both the artwork that was removed from the slab in the mid-nineties, and a play on the fact that the climbing isn't at all brutish! Hope life is treating you well. Love and hugs to Johnny too.

What the hell's going on with that "equalized" pair of pro between the bolt hanger and the solution pocket at 3:36? Using the old bolt hanger to tension the tri cam and keep it in place?

I remember watching Jason Pickles fall from the top moves of Psycho, many years ago, watched by John Dunne. No pads! A beer towel at most. He walked (hobbled) away from it to everyone's relief and some amusement. Nice video.
