Think it's one of the most Legacy playable low CMC cards that works with flipping Sorin; and really wanted a couple more synergies that weren't 3 CMC+ spells. Now, I did have some trouble getting creatures into a graveyard (on time) in this league; but I think that should generally not be the biggest issue in a Fatal Push deck.

Not really - I've mostly been trimming on It That Heralds the End and/or Reality Smasher, where needed, since I think those are just the worst creatures; Though it's important to keep and eye on Kozilek's Command, which may not have good (enough) modes in a match-up. If threat density becomes a concern it may be better to trim mana-sources; Eye of Ugin and City if Traitors both become worse in the typically longer/more interactive post-board games. The list is still a work in progress, and it's been interesting to see the different takes on the Eldrazi Aggro builds floating around. On that note: Let me know if you have specific take-aways from your games, any cards that underperformed?

I regret to inform you that there's nothing like that in the plans from me 😩I've been playing the deck quite a bit myself but changing it up so much all the time that a sideboard guide would be.. ambitious 🤯 Maaaybe your comment will inspire me, as I have a paper event coming up where I may play a version of this deck myself; but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Had my eye on that card as well, but the problem with Sail for such synergies is that it's optional for each player to Twister or not. So it doesn't really work with punisher effects, except that you get a fresh hand while they don't.. which can be good enough. "If embark gets more votes or the vote is tied, each player may discard their hand and draw seven cards."

I think so, they also kind of have to be to be honest. There aren't any other good enough scry cards that I'm comfortable playing in tempo, and tempo sees enough cards that it shouldn't be a problem to find a Preordain eventually. Obviously I'd like more if it was free, but I also feel like it's not necessary. More testing is certainly necessary but the amount of scry enablers hasn't been the part that I've been worried about.

Ye, I was thinking about Queza, but wanted to try Ancient Tomb and Dark Ritual in this list and those don't really cast Queza. I think Sheoldred is more powerful, but pending on the manabase, wanting multiple copies of such effects in play, needing the blue count, or if you're going for a full-on combo kill with The One Ring; those are all reasons to want Queza for sure!

Thanks Koendert! The mana technically checks out, even without counting the Hierarchs. But we do ask a lot of it, and playing four colours in a Wasteland / Blood Moon format (i.e. trying to combine basic land with a lot of colours) certainly ain't perfect :P

The idea is to bring it in against control or other combo decks, just to have pressure on them and be a bit lower to the ground. Or in this case or against Reanimator, decks where Show & Tell is too risky. Hitting Show & Tell of your Creative Technique is certainly the fail-case as only Omniscience are really good to put into play (rather than casting); luckily we always get to try at least twice by copying the Technique so that chance of actually failing the win without Forces from the opponent's side is quite low. This is certainly not meant as a competitive deck in an open field, but it will totally destroy control decks - as they can only counter so many Techniques and cascade threats before you overwhelm them. And Commandeer is also quite a thing against some combo decks. Lots of fun! :D

I think so. The main question is in which decks it will stick, but I'm pretty sure it'll be a regular sight as long as the meta remains similar to the current one; especially Green Sun's Zenith based decks. Which blue control decks find ways to implement it remains to be seen, but those that can certainly should - and decks like Jeskai will likely have to take it into consideration as current builds are very soft to it. Unsure if it's good enough for a deck like Infect in general, but there are some match-ups where it's very effective, so it's a very good card to have in the Infect arsenal.

Thanks for getting back to me. Yeah I'm pretty excited about the card to give some life to my green lists. I'm guessing that as the card comes out on mtgo we will see the popularity start to spike. Have you seen people playing it in Europe? M&B is finally starting to see play in the US

It's certainly a concern, but the idea is that it cripples the decks that we hit it with way more than it does ourselves. I think having it as a Green Sun's Zenith target against artifact based or storm combo decks is more important than just having the Force of Vigor to draw into. But it's certainly true that it makes it less ideal. Fun bonus, just like Karn, the effect can also be used to ensure that our opponent cannot crew their creatures after we Reconfigured them; which can come up against a deck like Kappa Cast.

That's to balance out my own bad plays ;) This happens whenever new cards are released though, especially when they're a bit weirder. I made mistakes with them, opponents make mistakes with them. It's a learning process ^_^

@@PVDH_magic True, I would think the same that it's because the cards are new, but once he saw what you did with the same aura on your own creatures, he's sure to learn :D That's why it was all the more unlucky that he won that game. With some luck though, the druid reconfiguration can go a long way as an archetype (and I'm looking forward to it, cause it's truly hilarious).

Was certainly considering it, since Devoted Druid ramps to it nicely...But I think the coating is more important/consistent and don't want to spend too many sideboard slots for just two Karns.

Hey, sorry for the late reply. Totally missed this comment. Sadly my own playgroup has also been very inactive for paper Legacy (and Magic in general) ever since the lockdowns hit. I haven't played much with the Rotterdam based folks myself, outside of the Legacy tournament. Have you checked the various Discords and Facebook group, I'm guessing the 'Rotterdam Legacy group' is probably still playing together regularly. While not very active on a daily basis, those placed would my go-to to find a playgroup, and are also the best to keep an eye on to see if there's any tournaments being set up again, when possible. Tournaments are of course the best place to find people to play with, once they get going again.

It might be. I mean, it for sure was for week 1. But with people adapting a bunch of cards to the oversaturation of Turbo Tibalt players, it might actually become better to go less all-in.
