I love these trucks the only thing that sucks is in gears 3-5 you have no power over 3500rpm

Nice, that sounds solid. I have always liked the kind of higher pitched hum at higher RPM's from Chevy V8's as of the last 30 years.

Going outside to do this right now, unfortunately I broke two out of four bolts getting this off my rusty yj, I air hammered the cover off with the two bolts in there broken off after breaking off the bolt remover in the hole lol.. so now, IM going to modify this then see if I can drill out and retap or even better get a big set of water pump pliers on the stubs and reverse em out. Thanks for the video though, makes sense to do it this way as you wont be worrying about the shaft being out of balance with a hose clamp on it etc. So ya, good fix, thanks again

Thanks so much for this video! I needed to replace the gas cap because the little strap snapped and couldn’t get my screw driver into the well to release the clip. This made my repair easy!

I had a 92 chevy g20 that became the shop fuck it mobile after awhile, we dropped a twin turbo LS in it. The boys welded dimes and quarters in holes like that all the time, itll be fine.

Really appreciate this. It totally applied to a 2020 Chevy Equinox that lost the painted plastic cover to the fuel filler door assembly. I couldn't find a single video on how to remove and replace the cover, let alone the whole assembly. All I could find were the exploded view diagrams which didn't show HOW to remove the cover. I'd found a junkyard replacement assembly in the same color and was prepared to replace the whole thing. But I was hopeful that the cover would just come off and I could swap that out myself. While I waited for the used part to arrive, (for significantly less than I saw quoted elsewhere for the cover-only, with just primer), I called around to body shops for quotes on the labor. Man, I'm glad I found your video. I just saved myself a ridiculous labor estimate for what it was, paint and the cost of a new part. The only thing I will note is that the plastic tab on my vehicle was still connected to the surrounding plastic. I don't know if this is by design to prevent it from coming off, but using a razor I simply sliced the thin connecting plastic to allow the tab to release with a screwdriver. Then the cover popped right off!
