Natural Stone-Grilled Kebab Burgers Recipe
Ingredients:
1 lb ground lamb (or a mix of lamb and beef for extra flavor)
1 small onion, finely grated
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp ground coriander
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp ground sumac (optional for a tangy flavor)
Salt and black pepper to taste
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
1/4 cup fresh mint, chopped
Olive oil for brushing
Instructions:
Prepare the Stone:
Select a flat, natural stone, preferably granite or basalt (ensure it’s untreated and heat-safe).
Place the stone over an open flame or hot grill until it’s sizzling hot. This may take about 30-45 minutes, depending on the thickness of the stone.
Prepare the Kebab Mixture:
In a large bowl, combine the ground lamb, onion, garlic, spices, salt, pepper, parsley, and mint.
Mix well with your hands until all ingredients are thoroughly incorporated. Shape the mixture into flat patties for quicker, even cooking.
Grill on the Stone:
Lightly brush the hot stone with olive oil.
Place the kebab patties on the stone. Let them cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, until you see a nice sear and caramelization.
