This rural family has no food in their simple, tidy kitchen. Eric and Billy, Hope of the Nations, visit this community once a month to bring each family enough food for the next month. The families work very hard looking after the cattle that live on the land, but they are paid very little. Before the Lord called Eric and Billy to go visit the families struggled with hunger and malnutrition.

“Atol” is the name of a nutritious drink made from Gleanings soup mix and other grains ground to a fine powder. Basic “Atol” Recipe: •Grind 1 1/2 cups of Soup Mix into fine powder •Add to 2 cups of boiling water •Boil for 15 minutes •Stir in the following ingredients: 4 cups of milk 1 cup of sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (other preferred flavoring) •Heat and stir continuously f...

Serving with the Wenge Family

David Wenge and two of his children, Kerrigan and Lane, came all the way from Illinois to serve this summer in our dried peach production. In 1982 David’s grandparents, Wally and Norma Wenge, founded YWAM Gleanings For The Hungry in California’s Central Valley and launched a Christ-centered food production ministry that has since fed and shared the gospel with millions.
