@@Seegras drummers were a crittical part of the army not just becouse they were used for music and march rythm, they also could be used to send orders becouse their sound is clearer than shouting in a battle, why wouldnt u wear a curass to a battle where u can be killed becouse u as an ARMY drummer are more worth than (for example) some solider in the rear, but i do understand that landsknecht used their own equipment and a curass is an expensive piece of armour
@@Seegras they did it depends on the unit they are from some did not wear cuirass but some did wear cuirass or even more plate armour but drummers where quite important and valuable that’s why they often did actually wear some sort of armour

Why would a drummer wear a kurass
becouse he marches with his bois
Fabijan Orešković That does not make sense.
@@radogost1536 He still shouldn't wear cuirass. I don't know of any historical image where he does.

Where are you sourcing this cadence? Do you have any documentation?
I'd also be interested to know if there is any written source historical or modern, for this type of drumming
I'm also interested. Because I could only find some very basic stuff referred to by Orlando di Lasso and hints by Thoinot Arbeau.
'tis what father liketh
Spieß und Spiel voran! Nice!
Where'd you get your hands on the drum man? Been looking all over for a quality piece for myself but having a hard time finding makers.
Rough and intimidating. I love it!
