I tried doing a double frontflip and landed on my face and qll the kids on the rock were like "ohhh!!"

I jumped "Da Rock" (as my in laws call it) twice. That stretch of Kam may be my favorite place on the planet. From Waimea Bay, the food trucks, Sharks Cove. Love it. I you drive far enough you'll get to eat at Ted's!!
On the beach is usually families on one end and surfers on the other....as I recall.....waves were huge on the end away from the rock

anybody know how high the rock is, or how deep the water? thanks
At it's highest point, maybe 8m. The water is probably about 15-17 feet, but would depend on the tide. I didn't touch bottom when I did my back flips off of either side from 7m on the side facing the bathroom house, and 8m on the other side. Gotta be careful to land in between the under water rock formations on that side, however.

Ho brah this is quality vid! I spent my winter summer breaks here when I was younger, my grandparents lived waialua, we would go here almost everyday then walk to 3 tables. You should do a vid in winter time when waves are pounding! Mahalo for the memories.

WAI'ME'A' --why me?
I was there for Christmas and jumping off the bigger part of the rock was so much fun!! Though if you want to jump, make sure that it is safe. Because I went there twice and the first time you could jump on the rock but the second time the waves were to big, but swimming with the waves was fun(they said no small children and you have to be good at swimming for the big waves). Over all though it is fun and if you are in Hawaii you souls go visit!

New year 2020.the rock was closed. The lifeguard told me it's only open in summer?! So sad 😒
Yea because waves are pounding and can get pretty messy. October season starts until around feb to March.
I'm sorry but I would of laughed in his face......the rock! is closed lol....let me say that again THE ROCK! IS CLOSED bahahaha. no one owns the rock. thats like saying you can't breathe that air. utterly ridiculous
i used to dive/jump off the rock in late 70's... typically people waited for a incoming wave to dive into deeper water.... a few of us learned to dive off and surprise others by swimming in cave like tunnel beneath the rock and outlet on other side of rock....it requires a long hold of breath and capable swimmer to withstand current....the tunnel is not much wider than a full spread of arms length to stroke thru...
I think it’s funny how everyone at the top was jumping and everyone on the lower rock was scared too.

Did the Rock last month. So much fun!! But my feet didn't like the rocks too much.
I jumped there
