Thanks for the video! I have this same axle but with the stock drums so i got a quick question. ..I've been reading differing opinions on whether these bearings need to be packed with grease or just differential fluid? Have you beem able to find any solid information on this in repair manuals?

I used a 2008 3/4 ton AAM 10.5 14 bolt with factory disk brakes. Outboard the shocks with Ballistic Fab lower mounts and used the factory shock mounts for the uppers. I staggered my shocks to help with wheel hop like a modern truck with a 65 degree angle forward & back. I removed the riveted factory mounts, cut the outer rivet ears off and re welded them up high as tabs. Added a 3.5" offset mount and bolted it up to the frame upside down from it's original orientation. with a 4" lift it gives me 22.5" eyelet to eyelet on a set of Fox 2.0 Factory Series 885-24-185 | Jeep Wrangler with reservoirs. 6" of shock stroke rebound and extension. Still trying to figure out the brakes. Waiting on some 2004 excursion calipers to show up to mock up an adapter plate. Need smaller piston calipers to work with the D52 & 1' master cylinder.

Did you guys ever post the video on the xj steering shaft. I’ve got a 72 k5 and I think the xj shaft I bought has 30 spline. My gear box is 36 spline. Wondering if you found one that works for you gen 1 blazers.

Why didn't you just back the front part of the roll cage out to weld the top? You didn't have any seats in the way? That way you didnt have to cut holes in the dash.

That was too easy. Need to demonstrate when that allen bolt doesnt work the way you want. That stupid allen nut will fail 99% of the time where you end have to cut it

I called bullshit on this. It takes monumental strength to get the new one to go in both holes. You just basically showed people how to put a nut on a threaded stud. Totally useless video. That’s like 5% of the job. The other 95% is fighting to get both studs to go in their respective holes .How about show them how to actually get the damn thing on there without inviting the Incredible Hulk over to pull on the swaybar for you.

If they still make these latches,im sold take my money trique.should be a good upgrade for my c/10 4x4 l/b stepside.

It’s a good idea to put some oil on the wheel bearings. Gear oil doesn’t get out unless you tilt the axle house.
