Why did they play at a faster tempo?! It's supposed to be a power ballad, this sounds like she just drank a bunch of coffee.
Sounds pretty normal on my end, is it possible your settings have it sped up?

PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD BRING HER BACK FOR A REVIVAL! Jessie Mueller captures the essence of Jenna better than anyone in my opinion. I saw Chelsea Halfpenny on tour and was blown away by Sho as Jenna but Jessie captured the abused part of Jenna. The emotional detachment, the lack of personality she showed in the role until she meets Dr P, and then the shift and warmth she brings towards the end of the show. She was the perfect fit to launch this show and had she returned, I truly believe the show would have lasted longer!

Mad late Ik I’m sorry but I just found it if anyone is still interested. So search up waitress full performance and scroll for a little. There should be a big playlist that says something similar to “waitress full musical bootlegs slime and production”. It’s made by Katie Lawrence. Scroll down to the one that says “Waitress 6-14-2016” it’s that one and then go to 27 minutes and thats kimikos when he sees me performance. It’s also really good quality!! If you can’t find the playlist then search up “waitress 6-14-2016 Blair Bart” hope this helped

its interesting to think about how she was changed by the show, it changed her life. that place, that apron and those shoes actually changed her, and that is probably so emotional for her among the fact that she had to leave.

tell me you've never been in a stage production without telling me you've never been in a stage production lol. letting go of a show is heartbreaking. for how emotional this song is, jessie sounds absolutely phenomenal. to me personally, the crying adds to it here and she did a wonderful job restraining her emotions enough to actually push through and hit those notes.
