Honda is far too straight-laced for anyone with passion or style. Yamaha embraces it. Suzuki and Kawasaki tolerate it. Now they're not even no fun, they're no good.

Great race. Steady Eddie was there at the end. Bad luck Gardner, but, that’s show business! And bike racing! These guys are all Legends! Never to be repeated. Four strokes, are far easier to ride, than these, wicked missiles! Great Stuff, thanks for posting.

That's how I always heard it pronounced too, but no matter how it's pronounced, arguably the greatest roadracer to never win a championship.

この年のハスラムが可哀想。前の年は４気筒のNSRからこの年はNS３気筒へダウン+フロント片持ちアームでハンドリング悪化(T_T)でもライディングフォームは変わらずカッコいい!!

How did rainy win when he finished 3rd? 🤔
All the way up until 2002, when races got stopped and re-started, the results were done on aggregate times. Rainey had a two second lead from the first race and and was close enough in the second race to win. That's also why Gardner was second on the track in the final run, but ended up in fourth and off the podium.
