Skip Sony... The "BEST" Digital Camera of all time
Переглядів 2,3 тис.День тому
Taking pictures with Leica has truly surprised me, I don't like when people buy into these consumerism, but maybe for some particular group of people, this amount of money is worth it, and I totally agree. Note: This is not a professional review of the camera,, (I didn't even mention the lens I am using but its Voigtlander Ultron Vintage Line 35mm F/2.0 if you are interested, its really good) N...

Apologies for the audio, SOMEONE forgot to plug in audio jack This video is a small vent I been holding for a long time, apologies for strong language. This is a very subjective video, please do not take any insult personally, if you do that means you need to make better choices. We all been there once, there's no need to be ashamed, but don't be the one having to prove your right all the time....

Popular Prosumer Camera Gear Comparison(Long Term)
Переглядів 645 місяців тому
To be honest, right now lots of prosumer level gears are very confusing to me when purchasing. It seems to me that even the manufacturers are not exactly sure which target group/demand they are trying to fulfill. I ended up buying/sharing lots of the gear mentioned below with my friends and using them all in the past 2 years of my professional life. Here's some insights hoping to help someone s...

😂 yes! Im a bad photographer a Leica should fix it! 😂😂😂 at the beginning I thought this video was a weird kind of humor. Skip Leica, just buy a cheap and capable Sony and invest in developing your artistry

you could fix your issue for a lot cheaper by just shooting film
So you get trigger happy and you blame the camera, your $11,000 mistake could've been fix by having the camera on single shot instead of high burst. I don't overshoot and delete the ones im not going to use I keep my Lightroom clean (quality vs quantity)
I always wonder how people take 1000 photo's on a single photowalk, when I manage to shoot 60 photos in a day. I suppose this is the reason, my camera shoots 3 fps bursts and only 3 shots in a row at that. I usually just leave it on single shot. But at the same time, I only rejected about 100 images from 2000 from a recent trip
Sounds like you should shoot some film on a fully manual camera. I shot a Zenit E with a 50mm many years ago and really enjoyed my time using it... It was my father's camera. He bought it new in London in the 60's... I still have it. Now, as I write this, I feel I should listen to my own advice...
I been thinking about getting some vintage lenses, they all seem very interesting…
I dont get why I should buy an expensive camera if I'm gonna use post editing anyway... Nice video nonetheless.
ditto!!!! Sony , Nikon , canon aren't trying to be that camera. If you want to get in that type of camera, I would have put it up again others at that price point. like a Hass.
If you don't want to edit then get fujifilm and put on film recipes, even an X-E2 or X-M1 will do great

Cheaper alternative to the Hassie 500cm is a Zenza Bronica SQ-A and SQ-B (I think also 6x6 format). You can also be mentally insane like me and pickup a Mamiya RB67 (4kg+, also 6x7 format)
You post great content, keep going at it.
Thank you so much for the support! Appreciate that
lol your delivery is flawless man 100% agree with you!!
Thank you my man
You have made a great point! These lenses at important for building confidence when it comes to using more professional gear. They might not be perfect, but do I really need perfect for smaller projects or for my hobby? I think I’ll buy one of these now just to fool around a little haha
As long as you don’t buy too much like I did 😢
@ We do have an expensive hobby. 😭
Bc they are cool?
real
Yes they are indeed the coolest
I am thankful for prosumer gear so closely rivaling the results of pro gear, it's making last-gen pro gear ridiculously cheap, I picked up a Sony FS7 with a couple batteries, 4 XQD cards, Tilta shoulderpad/baseplate + Rods & support, less than 500hrs runtime for $900 CAD. Feels like I stole it, it has internal ND, 10-bit 4k 60p Intraframe, 1080p 180p, dual xlr (can record 2 more vi MI shoe). It's basically an fx9 with a super35 sensor, no vnd, no dual gain iso, shitty AF, and older color science (which has been improved via firmware updates) and still looks great if you handle and expose it properly. screen/viewfinder leaves a bit to be desired in terms of resolution I'm at school studying film so I had gotten comfortable using these bigger camera systems and valued the benefits of more physical controls. I already had experience with mirrorless bodies, my a6000 felt good for photos but defiantly not for video. I had actually grown quite fond of the Canon C200s we used in class, and was watching the used market, but now I can see that the fs7 usually goes for cheaper, it has way better ergonomics, and way better codecs out of the box. sure C200 can do raw but who wants to deal with all that data? [The FS7 also outputs 12bit RAW via SDI with an addon that goes for ~$350 used, but it's not really much better than the 10 bit internal log because it's linear]. Gear that functions like pro level gear is incredibly accessible right now. Vintage glass is so much better for mf control compared to af glass, and a lens like the canon fd 35-105 f3.5 on a cheap pixco speed booster is impossible to match in value if you're buying new.
😭😭😭😭ur funny asf man
I really liked your video! The second-hand market definitely keeps everyone busy, haha. The worst thing about the Ninja monitor is that it’s not only heavy and expensive, but the ProRes RAW codec also has terrible support, especially in DaVinci. Plus, they don’t factor in the extra cost of storage.
Thank you! I’ve been telling people all the time we don’t need a lot of the stuff we buy! The red Komodo is cool but for the same price you can buy a red that shot the hobbit. And don’t get me started on Matte boxes…
🤣🤣🤣🤣 Do not agree with the Matte Box - I use them with dedicated round ND filters and its great (Tilta Mirage - I have two of them). But there rest ... LOL. So true. My Ninja is collecting dust, although when I have shitty camera (with lame codecs) Ninja was very useful.
people buy this stuff because they saw it on youtube.
Based asf. I’ve bought almost all of those except the follow focus.
Can't agree more with most of what you said haha... yet I own a Ninja V (definitely too heavy, but used it originally to record HD-SDI from OBVan trucks). Keep it up !
while the video is generally pretty cool, the audio is pretty bad. it's both pretty quiet and clipping at the same time.
Yes you are right, I am onto this problem
lol incredible.
