I disagree with your point on the prince's character. He was incredibly flawed and it worked. His arrogance, air of superiority and naiveness made sense, and you can see him evolve through the journey into a more decent human being. Farah herself was shady and had good reason to "charm" the prince and use him in order to revert his own mistake. She eventually leaves him at their most intimate moment to do the job herself. Their feelings for each other still make sense as they despise each other for diferent reasons, but see the good in themselves as they are the only two survivors striving heroicly to save the situation. There could have been more consequenses for the prince, but those come later in the next two titles.

I feel like they have this opportunity to make changes to the story. This can lead to revival of the whole series. Its a tall order but its possible.

Finally, it’s here! I never thought I’d get the opportunity to hate-watch this. But honestly, it’s a great video with solid points. Sands of Time is a product of its era-the game’s 21 years old now, and back then, I don’t think most players cared about these issues. But now, with a major chunk of the fanbase being grown adults, things might look different. Even Ubisoft can’t be that clueless and incompetent to keep the Prince’s character exactly the same, with all the glaring problems. The love story between the Prince and Farah is definitely going to stay, though. Remakes don’t give the liberty to completely change such core parts of the story. I totally get your concerns here, but if I were you, I wouldn’t worry too much about the remake. Not like your PC’s going to be able to run it anyway!
