I remembered when I had a girlfriend on call that wanted me to comfort her by telling her to breathe with me. She was crying and shaking, because I can tell how scared she was. This brings back so many memories. This actually helps me calm down and start communicating with people properly. Sometimes I have bad communicating skills, but this helps me gain confidence in communicating with others.

Listening to this I can’t help but wonder how much my dad and uncles and grandpa and cousins have suffered they are all combat veterans my grandpa served in the pacific theater and he also served in Korea and my dad and uncles were drafted to fight in Vietnam right after high school and my cousins served in Iraq and Afghanistan unfortunately my dad lost his arm and one my uncles died he was 20 and my other uncle lost his leg they all talked about how The VA screwed them here on the rez unfortunately there’s really no help for Veterans on rez they rely on IHS which have a long waiting list and crappy healthcare

Well, I wouldn't call it protective. She downplayed it several times as a joke, but she just treats the guy as her property. Not a nice type of person to be around.

It’s odd because I don’t fear the needles in the dentist because I barely feel them, but drawing blood or flu shots (etc), i get ten times more anxious 😭 but this is very helpful, thank you.
