Oh yeah, I've just pressed the trigger for a 110. It's been years since I kind of hovered around it, always finding better reasons to buy something else, something modern, something with a fancy lock or a fancy blade steel . I even contemplated the Pro version in S30V (I like s30v) and micarta but.. I finally was drawn to the Classical, old school look . I wanted to have the legend. And thus, boom. Buck 110, en route to me ! (I will still buy the Pro someday lol)

I bought this and it just arrived today. My suspicion was correct that the assertion that it's too large to be used in a practical sense is not accurate. If you get a leather pouch that attaches to your belt, then you can use this for EDC, and also, if you go backpacking, hiking, camping, et. al. and you throw this in with your other gear then you won't even notice the extra weight. The bottom line on this knife is that if you're doing something like attaching your car keys to it then it's WAY too large in terms of volume and weight, but if you are using it for particular types of applications like those aforementioned then it is the superior option by far. What I did was buy a swisschamp and buy this swisschamp XXL so that i have the non-XXL one that's smaller/more manageable for EDC without wearing a belt and then the XXL version when i am either wearing a belt or engaged in those activities where I can throw it in with my other gear. Another point to consider is that if you use your swiss army knives around the house then the XXL is tremendously beneficial because there are so many tools on here that I will use for household convenience that are not included in the regular swisschamp. I highly recommend this knife and a good belt-fed carrying case provided you know what you're getting yourself into. Edit: Oh and about that pharmaceutical spatula, I don't ever foresee myself using it to separate pills, BUT, i definitely would see myself using it to spread butter or peanut butter or jam. It's the kind of tool really that could find multiple improvisational uses for a creative user.

I like that little Vosteed. Found myself looking at the Corgi Pup a while ago but just can’t get to like the floppy blades of button locks, so went for a Civivi Baby Banter instead. Super cute little knife. Seemed an Elementum ‘fell’ into my shopping basket while I was there and I really like that one too. The lighter, slimmer flipper/linerlock version, not the button lock.

Got one. I peened the pins that hold it together a little and it isn't sloppy now, so it is ok. Beater, user, that if it gets lost or "loaned" indefinitely it is fine. But it is useable. Obviously not as nice as my Wave plus.

The problem with that Buck sheath, with the "Buck Buck Buck" on the snap, the belt loop is lower on the sheath which makes it ride higher on your belt. The old school Buck sheath, (the snap only says "Buck") the belt loop sits higher on the sheath which makes it sit lower on your belt and less likely to catch on things.

Rocktol you bought is a better quality multitool than Leatherman. Try to break off a nail with leatherman's pliers. You will see that the cutting edge of the pliers is damaged. Also, when you try to cut a rope such as a parachute rope with leatherman's scissors, you will see that it cannot cut the rope. Leatherman produced in America is both more expensive and of lower quality than the Rocktol produced in China. The multitool you purchased is also sold under Diacamping and Bibury brand names. I have seen Rocktol prove many times in dozens of test videos on UA-cam that it is of better quality.

I just can’t stand the fact that the pocket clip had the blade up and out as opposed to against the pocket edge. That can make for a nasty cut

Gerber uses 420HC for the Strongarm knife which has been in many videos showing how tough it is. Buck's 420HC makes a great blade. Takes a wicked sharp edge and cuts like a demon. That's what this knife is for so, just sayin.

Leatherman Steens and Ukiah are old fixed blade knife-based multitools worth checking out if you ever get a chance.

It's super weird and I still can't figure out why Leatherman made it. I managed to get all previous 5 garage tools, yet I almost skipped this one. I'm glad I didn't. I've used it more than I've used the previous 5 put together.
