I have 4 crawlers and enough spare parts to build a 5th (which I am going to), but I have always wanted a basher. I looked at Traxxas years ago, and their prices deterred me from looking any further. Fast forward to a few days ago when I get my Ascent 18. I was so impressed by the quality and price, I looked at what else Redcat has. Long story short: I have one of these coming in the mail. 😁

did you have to adjust the droop screw in the rear to prevent binding? i think the dogbones are a little long...

When I switched the 3200kv for the 3900kv on 20t 4s 85mh

I did the Micro B with the Hobbywing mini28 and the sensored 1626 6500kv.The thing is uncontrollable at 100%.From a dead stop it will do a backflip.With this setup everything fits in the stock location and the body fits like factory with zero mods.I plan on doing a video and speed run just to know the actual speed.If I had to guess it's at least 40mph, but we will know this week when I get the chance and weather permitting

Im also waiting for an esc through redcat warranty after having very similar issues as yours. Also no estimate. Im guessing a lot of people have them on warranty. Personally im looking to upgrade to a 6s esc

My Valkyrie came with a bad fan, and it was going into thermal super fast, less than 10 mins. The fan never came on....until one day it started working, and yes I did check the connector. They sent me new fans. Works fine now, and I have extra fans. Im going to eventually throw a 8bl150/4274 quicrun combo in it eventually just so its more reliable

For sure you should contact RedCat. I bought my first redcat 6 weeks ago, and I am really enjoying it. I did have a servo problem, and I sent an email, just stating the problem and they sent out a new servo, no hassles. I had heard they had great customer service, and now I can say for sure, they back the product. Hope your esc is just a lemon and they sort you out.

I saw another video where they had the same problem.(can't recall name) He noticed it right before the steel band wrapped around the ball that holds the pin in completely came off. He fixed it by wrapping it in half inch shrink tubing and it looked like it would prevent it in the future. Hope Corally is listening, I love my corally, and i think this is a legit problem they should address.

syncro-4 has updated front drive shafts also as the retaining steel band to stop pins from flying out are now fine spring steel wrapped around 3 times. I still put heat shink over them.

Regarding the Shock issue. I just received my new one and it does not bring the replacement pack inside. Anyone know if they are they still including it?

They will want tou to send the esc at your expense and then they will tell ya its your fault and you need to buy a new one. Ive walked down this rabbit hole before with redcat. Try living in Canada and dealing with them.

I ran 3 7200mah 4s 80c packs through mine back to back and had no issues whatsoever,albeit that it was running hot the last pack but nothing crazy hot and never tripped thermal shutdown. The truck is an absolute beast

I just geared down to a 15t and no issues with my Valkyrie MT .

Think its over geared out of the box and running it full throttle the whole time in grass is going to put it in thermal on max battery power, having it on 3s and it not doing it show that.

Redcat is killing it. They fix the esc and it would be on the top 5.

I thought it was common for people overheating these. A heavy truck, geared out of the box to go ~60 on stock electronics is pushing it. You could probably drop 4 teeth and still have a ~50mph 4s truck.

at least they contacted you, Arrma is the worst customer service I have ever dealt with, out of stock is the company moto, but it shows in stock

I been using max10 escs for years.. i cant remember having a problem with a single one.. 4s but maybe bump the pinion down a tooth or 2.. i mean if your pulling backflips on 3.. i would start to think maybe its slightly overgeared for 4s

Good point if it's a hobby wing issue it's even a bigger problem. Just keep using 3s put a bigger pinion.

Can you explain more about adjusting the droop. I drive in a very similar location/terain. What did you do to adjust it can you give an explanation. Im just not super familiar with how to adjust the droop. A video would be great. Mine is still in the box for Christmas I just want to be prepared. Thanks great video

I have the Exceed Rc that’s the same as the tornado just named different there good cars just gonna want to learn too fix stuff been upgrading my sunfire 4wd pro buggy and been having fun with it it’s probably my most upgraded Rc i have.

can you use a program card to turn it up to 7.4 volts and turn the punch level down some? Great Video Bro. Been waiting over a week for mines. cant wait to drive it.
