Why not call it kendo?
Kendo is one of Kenjyutsu. Hokushin Itto ryu. This is another clan of Kenjyutsu
Kendo is a modern martial art based on kenjutsu. Katori Shinto Ryu is a kenjutsu that predates kendo by several centuries.
Kendō is really different from kenjutsu. It's born from it but it's not the same
Kendo is about hitting the armor to get points, no matter if ure hit after. This is about hitting openings in the armor to get kills without dying.

Nope. This is a special interview that Otake sensei gave to the Russian TV channel "Zvezda" ("The Star" - channel of the Ministry of Defense). Russian shidosha Loukyanov specially coordinated this video recording with Otake sensei. (I am a student of Otake sensei, Alexey Markov, menkyo)
@@shinryokai Nope? Are you saying I can hear what Otake sensei is saying? 😉 I guess to be clearer, what I meant to say was, I wish there were subtitles instead of the Russian voice over which kills the interview for anyone speaking Japanese.
@@Peekingduck You are absolutely right. I just say that this is some kind of copy of the local Russian program, no one thought to make subtitles. But, if you want, I can make subtitles (not fast).
