Knygathin Zhaum: Commoriom's Doom | Cthulhu Mythos
It is worthy of record, however, that Knygathin Zhaum, the half-breed Voormi, reverted to the most primitive ancestral characteristics following the stress of his numerous decapitations. I have yet to translate the dire and abominable legend telling how a certain doughty denizen of Commoriom returned to the city after its public evacuation, and found that it was peopled most execrably and innumerably by the fissional spawn of Knygathin Zhaum, which retained no vestige of anything earthly.
Letter from clark ashton smith to robert barlow.
Knygathin Zhaum was the offspring of Sfatlicllp, the granddaughter of Tsathoggua, and one of the cave-dwelling humanoids known as the Voormis.
Knygathin Zhaum initially appears humanoid but with unsettling features: hairless skin mottled like a boa and movements suggesting an inhuman, snake-like internal structure. After his capture, his true Azathothian nature is revealed as his form becomes increasingly grotesque, with body parts shifting positions and transforming into tentacle-like appendages, embodying the alien and chaotic essence of his lineage.
Knygathin Zhaum was a reaver and cannibal. And he was the precursor to the Formless Spawn of Tsathoggua. This story unfolds the events of attempting to capture such an abomination and the catastrophic horror that followed.

Iod: The Dimension Prowler | Cthulhu Mythos
Переглядів 8 тис.День тому
It was his monstrous pleasure to hunt the soul, as a hound will course and run down a frightened rabbit. The first mention of Iod comes in Kuttner's "The Secret of Kravitz," when Franz Kralitz is learning eldritch lore from his ancestors: "I learned, too, of the unbelievable manner in which Iod, the Source, is worshiped beyond the outer galaxies." In "The Invaders", Hayward's experiment teach h...
Yhoundeh: Consort of Nyarlathotep | Tsathoggua Cycle
Переглядів 2,7 тис.14 днів тому
I'll now try to answer your questions, some of which have necessitated research into archives even darker and more obscure than those of the learned Pnom. Chushax, or Zishaik, of whose lineage I can learn only the most meager and dubious details, was the wife of Tsathoggua. Their offspring, Zvilpogglua, was more male than anything else. The Immediate parent of Cthulhu and his race (child of Nug...
The Flower Women by Clark Ashton Smith | Maal Dweb
Переглядів 84821 день тому
A story from the renowned tales of "Xiccarph": The sorcerer Maal Dweb approached the flower women with caution, for he knew that they were vampires. These half-woman, half-flower monsters were as venomous as they were beautiful. His presence was now detected. Could their hypnotic singing lure yet another victim, or would Maal Dweb's own magic save him from the wailing power of the enchanting fl...
The Empire of the Necromancers by Clark Ashton Smith | Zothique 1 of 16
Переглядів 1,4 тис.21 день тому
Zothique, vaguely suggested by Theosophic theories about past and future continents, is the last inhabited continent of earth. The continents of our present cycle have sunken, perhaps several times. Some have remained submerged; others have re-risen, partially, and re-arranged themselves. Zothique, as I conceive it, comprises Asia Minor, Arabia, Persia, India, parts of northern and eastern Afri...

Zushakon, The Dark Silent One, appears as a swirling, black vortex, revered by the Mutsune Native Americans as a dire death god. He is also worshipped by the mysterious servitors known as the Hidden Ones. It is a descendent of Ubbo-Sathla. The name is also given as Zul-Che-Quon (by West Coast Indian tribes) and Zushakon (in Mu and Xinian). "Zushakon" is an alternative spelling of Zulchequon use...

This was a great listen for my cat and I, Happy Eldritch Horror Day!
did you ever cite the source where Lovecraft mentioned Fredlund, I would still like to know of their falling out and more of this time period of his life and why it happened, i know its been a year but im still anxious for any info on it as you said you'd check your texts, also i still love the quality of your work. please and thank you.
Nice video but why do you pronounce it "Ram", like Ramen? It's Rom, with a dry 'o' sound, like the word chomp, Tron, or bot.
Also, Berjenwerth? It's literally pronounced in the game. The g is a hard g, like in gun.
Ma-e-colash? Dude have you even played the game? It's pronounced Mi-co-lash, short non diphthong-ed i. Not like rhino, but as in giraffe.
A great story with a perfec ending in the style of Robert Bloch. Thanks❤❤❤
Thank you for presenting your sources.
Oh shoot! I just listened to the maze one
Oh wow that ended abruptly lol
Numerous decapitations? That’d put me right off too. 🤔
😊
This was excellent
Beautifully done, again!
Oh hell yeah this is a great one
This particular narrator could read the phonebook. Always great.
it's an a.i. bot, i think ? something about the cadence isn't right, occasionally. 02:10 pronunciation of "foreran" is way off 03:40 "on the block of eighon-wood" -- doesn't notice the typo there 03:55 "strange glory that illumines irretrievable .... things." lol
"I agree with you"!!! 👍
@@idjtoal If it is an AI bot, it's a good one. I can hear it taking breaths before long, sentences. Just saying.....👣👍🇱🇷
It's an ai voice. You can tell by the weird pitch after every word. It causes some speakers to make the sss sound very bitey.
Love all your stories
The future and past are one, be here now
Wow, Doom of the House of Duryea is one of the best short stories I've heard in a bit! Really tense parts in the cabin
Yeah, from the author who wrote the King in yellow as well. The actual texts of the Necromonicon are where exactly? Amusing.
Yale University Library has a copy.
Yep, I've got a craving for mushrooms.
Hm, an interesting presentation of historical lore. Good narration and I appreciate the illustration selections. Good job.
Oh man, this has one of my favorite moments in any book I've listened to for a long while. The collective trance all the beings were in, and the brief moment where the flame grew dim and a couple of beings fled. The part where the armored one spoke to the main character and helped lead him away is one of the few moments where humans have interacted with outer being in a positive manner. It really showed that there are always a higher being and power than you in the universe.
"The gun in his pocket was a stronger magic than the mumbo-jumbo of half-cracked fools" . Epic line.
We really are coming up flat completely flat compared to the imagination of these 1930s hot boys.
This Iod guy seems like a real jerk.
Really enjoying your choice of more obscure mythos tales!
Please and thank you start posting on Spotify
Stupid a.i. voices. I hate fake voiced channels. One moment it CAN say "Iod" then starts just spelling it out? "I-O-D" stupid as hell. 0 stars.
Did we change the meaning of "penta" to mean 6?
Must be one of those non-euclidean shapes we keep hearing about.
Thank you for this. Was not privy to this writer or his contribution to the Mythos. Now inspired to sketch my own interpretation of I'Yod ( Iod). Love the fact that he traps his pray within thier corporeal undying husks. I have this great image of a pile of victims a Monroe really and I'Yod squatting atop of it with rips ,rends of space-time worm holes around It like Cosmic Rabbit Warrens.

This is a great bed time story if you're a weirdo like me!

@@aleisterlavey9716 You said it with too much enthusiasm lol
Horror makes for the best lucid dreams
They who listen are heard by those basking in the shadows that grow.
Loved every minute of this. Thank you!
Thank you
I prefer my Dimensional Shamblers, but prowlers are also good. "Yarnak" as in the town from the game Bloodborne ? Awesome.
How is that grotesque?
