Celebrating Oban Pride , Saturday the 31st of August 2024
Experience the vibrant and inclusive atmosphere of the Oban Pride March held on August 31, 2024, in the picturesque town of Oban, Scotland. This drone footage captures the colorful parade, enthusiastic participants, and the spirit of unity that defines Oban Pride.
Oban Pride, established in 2019, aims to promote equality and diversity, providing safe spaces for the LGBTQ+ community and its allies to come together and celebrate. This year’s event marks the 5th anniversary of Oban Pride, featuring a weekend full of activities including Oban Pride Unplugged, a Community Stall Village, and the 5th Anniversary Ball1.
The Pride movement, which began with the Stonewall Riots in 1969, has grown into a global phenomenon celebrating the milestones achieved in the fight for LGBTQ+ rights and highlighting the ongoing struggle for equality. Pride events are a testament to the progress made and a reminder of the work still needed to ensure acceptance and equality for all.

Reading your description, I hope you're doing OK today. I want to say that you drone videos are absolutely superb. I can't put it into words. I lived in Inverkip between the mid 1970s to 1983, and your drone videos over the hills and streets take me back to that time. Your videos are well presented, you know to get your drone up at dusk and get the best kind of magical light. You might laugh at this, but a couple of years ago, I bought MS Flight Simulator to try to "capture" the Clyde in my virtual simulator. I took the virtual camera above places like Dun Rod, Inverkip Marina etc. Your drone videos are incredible to me, this is what I was looking for. Anyway, I hope you're doing better today. We all go through tough times. Goodness knows I've been through them. I hope you're better.
