Bought a 1984 Alliance L coupe in red in highschool. 4 speed manual transmission. Bought it brand new and it was in the shop about every month. Absolute pile of 💩

I drove one once. I was grossly underpowered and as comfortable as you might think.

Me and the wife were shopping for a new RELIABLE car for her to get back and forth to work. Strongly considering a Chevette. Ended up going with a Mazda GLC. Soooooooo glad we did.

My dad bought 2 used 'vettes in the 80s. First one for his wife to get her out of her clean '69 two door Impala with a 350. Ihad a chance to buy that car for $400 and I passed. My brother bought it and blew up the motor in short order...Anyway my dad took over his wive's "Shove-it" when she bought an Accord and drove it for quite a few miles. It was definitely a dog..

Ah yes, only American car makers of the early 80s would put a 4 cylinder in a 3,500lb car. And expect it to perform well.

I had two Cutlass Cierra's, a white 1983 2-door, and a maroon 1990 4-door model! I miss both of them! 🙂
