I’m confused where the line between the two is. My son was born Sept. 2012- is he Gen alpha or z? He thinks Gen z- but makes fun of Gen z stuff, like the identifying as non human things. I have heard, “mom, I identify as a helicopter!” Like it’s the first time? Weekly. I go along with it, “ok helicopter, lunch is almost done” etc. (insert 11 year old laughter). The identifying stuff wasn’t millennials. I never saw that until Gen z. (Like “I’m a fox, refer to me as fox self” or whatever it is).
People need to stop caring about literal 12 year olds calling them old! Of course a 12 year old is gonna think youre old. Ask a 40 year old and theyll say 25 is a baby. Perspective matters. A 12 year olds opinion of your age doesnt.
when i was a kid, 25 was old to us, too xD now that im 27 im like, whooof. how innocent i was. i think once you pass 50, "over the hill" so to say, thats old. but being old isnt a bad thing, either! most older people i know are way happier now than in their 20s and 30s.
