Mental strength needs to be worked on - getting emotional on court, making a series of unforced errors allowed Maliff to focus on calmly absorbing the pressure. The other Malik ran out of options against Zak ( who looks like a top ten player in the near future!)

Watching Noor Zaman 😂 like I'm watching the 3-year-old kid. Annoying, unprofessional, and 0 manners in court. Hahaha, I can not understand why he is ashamed of the Zamans family. They have such an amazing uncle background etc. It's sad to see him in court like this.

Under really terrible ref decisions, both girls played extremely well, I'm sorry to the ref, but his decisions, were not very good, you should get John, the international ref to give you some lessons, he is a very good teacher, although he makes some mistakes, after we are all human, and mistakes are part of who we are, and who we define ourselves as, but way to frequently in this game, ask John, he taught me and I consider myself a reasonable ref., obviously not as good as John

5th game reffereeing is outright dementia.

Huh, I couldn't figure out what was being said...so hard to know if the decision was fair or not. Not that it really matters but I've thought some of the younger women players have taken a much poorer tone with the officials but I'm not sure I recall any of the ladies losing a game over it.

While I am spouting,its about time they put foot faults to bed.At a proffesional level nobody calls them and at an amateur level only relicslike me can remember what they are.Also at top level nobody gets an advantage by moving to the T given the returning skills of the opponent.

Before covid there was no towelling down during games.We should go back to that situation.After all squash is not a time wasting sport like tennis.Lose the boxes and the towels

The ending to that momen dessouky game is completely unacceptable. Squash is letting down its fans to an ineffable degree year upon year. I’m falling out of love with a sport I’ve held dear for my whole life. 2-2 8-8 and giving a conduct game? Just some common sense, benefit of the doubt. You CANNOT expect these players to be robots and not let their emotions out when they are playing for their livelihoods and risking their bodies to train and compete for us fans to enjoy. The refereeing this event has been a complete shambles so far and it’s no wonder this sport isn’t picking up. The PSA are corrupt and care more about politics than growing the sport, the refereeing has become so inconsistent to the point of matches being ruined and players being robbed of titles and money. I’m so done with the PSA and the WSF/WSO and in particular the stupid directives put in place by referees who are becoming obstructive and frustrating the players and viewers. CIB and ATCO have enough money combined to create a competitor tour with good prize money, new technology and good playing conditions with better technology and streaming for fans to enjoy. Until a competitor tour is formed, we the fans will be punished with bad quality streaming, shambolic reffing and events like the 2024 World Series finals. I’m done #BeachillOut #GoughOut. I’ve seriously had enough. What a great message to send out to the fans in the first event of the season. Sigh

I'm really not sure why Dessouky has to be so obnoxious when he's clearly the much better player. He plays ball into the middle, and runs into Vargas and falls at 1:25:53, then tries to play victim as if Vargas did something to him? The way he fell I honestly don't think he could possibly hurt his ankle.

And my biggest issue ,, wtf is this situation with all the court cleaners being women with bloody balaclavas on being instructed by a Man with a badge on telling them where to clean !!!omg omg this is the world stage of squash for gods sake in this day and age of sporting equality ,, and I see this misogynistic horror and why the hell are the players and refs from around the world not saying anything ,,, farag , shorbaggy , Diego , Makin , Coll speak up ffs it’s so embarrassing ..
