How to Turn a Bend die on a Lathe
Turning the material 1018 crs (Cold Roll Steel) is a stringing metal that cannot be broken up when turning on a lathe.
Metal turning involves shaping metal on a lathe by removing material using a cutting tool. It is essential for precision machining.
Metal turning is a fundamental machining process used in manufacturing and engineering. This technique involves rotating a metal workpiece while a single-point cutting tool removes material to shape it into the desired form. It is widely used to create cylindrical parts, threads, and various detailed components.
Skilled operators and proper tool selection are crucial for achieving high precision and smooth finishes. Understanding the basics of metal turning can significantly enhance your machining capabilities, leading to better product quality and efficiency. Whether you’re a hobbyist or a professional, mastering metal turning opens up a world of possibilities in metalworking.

To drill a hole in aluminum, follow these steps: Use a standard high-speed steel drill bit for drilling aluminum. Adjust the drill speed to a low setting. Begin drilling, applying only light pressure. Keep the drill bit cool by occasionally dipping it in cutting oil. Alternatively, use a rotary drill to create a hole in the metal, then remove the fractured aluminum. For more precise holes, star...

Can someone leave a good comment, or ask a nice question?
There is no such thing as a "Fork Lift License".
What you need to do is call any kind of warehouse. Google any kind of warehouse and ask them if they’re such a thing as a forklift license to drive forklift , and you would have your answer.
Where are all my comments?😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Help the channel out!😮😮😮
Yeah, I hear you about the water bill. Nowadays, if you’re in California, that water bill is gonna be very very very high.😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
I have done that with the water. I turned on the hose to refill the duck pool and went to work my 12 hour shift...I was not happy with that water bill.
Tell me if you like this kind of video? Yes or No?
Come on! haven't you ever forgotten to shut off the water?
Audio and video is definitely a nice improvement. 👍
Thanks for watching, I'm always trying to improve. The camera and boom mic cost me a lot of cash, which I didn't have. But I'm happy to hear it paid off with good comments.
I love it too. Music is good.😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
I love your comment!
Drop me a comment and tell me if you like this video?
Terrified...😮
Good to hear from you @naterade1995. I hope this year has been very good to you, and I wish you a Happy New Year!
Merry Christmas everyone drop me a comment. Tell me how you’re doing.😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
After the cut is finished, keep the tool on its setting and just wind it back, it will cut the shavings in half rounds
This is UHMW and it will not do as you say. Plus, it's better to have it in this long piece than small bits.
If the part is tapered small at tail stock end put a rolling paper on the operating side of the morris taper. Rolling paper is .001 thick
Why do that, my friend? There is no need to do something like that if you do it like in the video. Why rely on paper when you can rely on the indicator.
It’s quick and easy especially if you want to taper for alignment in reamed holes
Put a rolling paper on the taper on the correct side of taper .001 inches thick
Okay I read your comment three times, please explain what you’re trying to say because I don’t understand. Please use details because I have no idea what you’re trying to say.😮😮
Then just eat Turkey!
Come on so you tell me you know how to fix a taper on a lathe? Oh, you don't need my help!
Let's go! Definitely curious to see the result ❤
Okay me too, are we talking about Turkey? If yes it was very moist, soft and pulled apart very easily.
@JaySkunkWorks yeah def the turkey! Good to hear! in The Netherlands turkey is not too common so I like to see how people make it in the US!
@@Rayman9000 Hello Rayman, Have you heard of Rock and Roll candy in your country? They make hard candy. Yes, here in the States we cook our turkey 3 ways. We cook in the oven in a turkey pan with a lid. We deep fry it in a turkey fryer in peanut oil. Or we pressure cook it as you see me doing in the video. What do you eat in the Netherlands?
@@JaySkunkWorks not heard of the candy company but we love to eat liquorice here, the salty salmiakki type. But Haribo and such fruity stuff too. Well we don't have thanksgiving, our main family dining experiences are with Christmas and in my family currently everone gets an assignment, like main, or side dish or dessert. I guess we like to eat stewed rabbit/hare. or draadjesvlees( which is very tendery stewed beef in a French style) and gestoofde peren (which is stewed pears in a sweet spiced sauce). So quite a bit different. But it doesn't end there, we have lots of varying foods from many cultures.
@@Rayman9000 Yes so quite different but all good.
Hope you have a great Christmas Jay.
Thank you for the Christmas wishes. I hope you have a great Christmas too. Also, thanks so much for commenting on the channel.
I like it so much. I am new on master and i really appreciate your class today. Hope i can learn more from you. All love and respect
Thanks, and welcome I hope you hit the like button or thumbs up. Please tell me what you are learning so I can plan your next lesson.
Anyone else willing to help the channel out? Or you don't want to see any more videos?
Good information I just hit the light button I also left the comment.❤
Awesome thank you!
If you sell all of your stuff how are going make videos? How are you going to make a living? If you are actually going to get rid of stuff I could use a mig welder.
Well, John, I can make videos anytime I want, because I have years of videos. I made a good living and saved my money. Now John why would you tell me that you could use a Mig Welder? I don't see you on my list of Subscribers. I don't see that you "Like" any of my videos. Then you only comment on this video. You have never helped the channel grow, so why would I give you a Mig Welder? I don't appreciate people like you who just take and never give! It took me a long time to write back to you because I had to calm down before answering your comment. I don't like people that just take. I give help, money, and my time to those who help others, without asking for anything in return. Why can't you be one of those people John? Go Help someone you don't know; You will find out that you get more back than you give.
@JaySkunkWorks So,Jay,I replied to the video because you said you were selling stuff off. As far as the other stuff that has you in such a tizzy. I have been a member since March 20,2019,I have punched the like button on all of your videos that have came across including the last one you did on Halloween stuff. Admittedly I don't make many comments. There is just no pleasing some people and you are one of them.

I know you said most the money is in the real estate but are you going to be all right?
@leebonakiss9379 Thanks for your comment and the answer is yes. This will be the third time I retired in my 60-year life. I miss working and getting up at 4:45am to go to work. Now I just wake up late (9:00)am and sit on the couch with the TV on. I'm so very sad no one Likes or comments on my videos. But they do watch but don't care to help the channel grow. Thank you for caring @leebonakiss9379, your my only friend on UA-cam.
Are you actually closing up business?!
@leebonakiss9379 the business is closed.
Thanks for the video.. You can use minimal brushes by maybe using a section of paper towel dipped in the latex and dragging across the skeleton.. Also open and unroll the cotton before the build, latex is messy as Hell. Prep work. Get a plastic or glass bowl and pour latex in, then dip the cotton in and place it where you want on the already latexed body. This makes nice beautiful gory meat chunks. The crap stuck around the neck of the bottle, inside the cap, on your fingers, work area, etc. Is also excellent for carnage. Applied with more latex of course because it adheres to itself like nothing else you've ever used. I like to put my finger in the bottle and tip it a little, or into a bowl with latex, touch wet covered fingers together and pull apart gently. Watch the cool stretchy forms it makes and apply those when solidified into shape. Just play with the latex, start off cheap (Wal-Mart, dollar store) and get a feel for it. Waste it. I'm pretty new to the art world and I love playing around with different products and whatever is laying around to make a lot of different, unique textures.. And I also love it when latex or expanding foam gets on your clothes because it stays there for eternity. It won't come out. Paint brushes.? Forget it. They're OK to use for certain areas or a quick covering, but once used with latex, plan on feeding the garbage can. Just a few tips to share that I've learned on my own and from others along the way. Great job, great build and that's a pretty bad ass idea for a back "scrapper" as you called it. I hope I didn't sound like I was coming off as a know-it-all, because I definitely don't have that trait 😂. Just some ideas that's all. Have a great day and keep the videos coming, I don't make any and quite honestly I depend on these. Thank you Jay..!! 🤘🫠
@MunkyNutz13 Thank you for your nice long comment; I read it twice. Thanks for sharing your ideas and experiences on this subject. Please keep it up because this is how we all learn new stuff. As you can see from the comments, people don't like or comment on my videos. Thanks for making my day and leaving a comment. If you have any ideas, let me know because you are one of two people I know who only watch my videos. Where are you from MunkyNutz13?
Why is no one watching these videos?
Okay, no more videos only one person watches my video.
I just saw it. You should be up to 4 by now. 🤣 Great video Jay, thanks🤘
that's such a good Idea to get the zombie flesh look on it
Thanks, for your comment I was so happy to see two comments.
I would definitely be interested in a knife sharpening video
I would do it if more people would like to see how to sharpen a knife. But so far, only two comments from the same person. See if you can share the word with your friends.
That sounds good.

Can you break down how this mouse trap works? I've been making a mastercam drawing but I'm still a bit confused on how the mice are caught. Are the circular parts on top doors they fall through?

You're a Bolt Heads with littles nuts!
This is why I don't put up new videos, no one cares to watch the videos. Tell me why you don't care?
I care! Just been busy this weekend
@@leebonakiss9379 Thanks but making a video for only one person is very hard and sad to do. Can you help me find out why no one else watches? Where are you from, the Los angeles area?
@JaySkunkWorks no, I'm from Tennessee. and if I had to guess, it's probably at least partially an attention span issue, and that A lot of people are looking for videos on new Mastercam versions and Fusion 360. In fact I found your videos because I use mastercam v9 and your videos popped up while I was looking for ways to learn, and your videos helped me a bunch
In regards to attention span, I think that's why heavy editing and people speeding through explanations when teaching get people views a lot of the time, but I really enjoy the way you teach things more than that
@@JaySkunkWorks by the way, how does that mouse trap you challenged us to redesign a few months ago work? I'm giving it a go!
