Was thinking about selling singles for a bit considering the secondary market is dry for HTCG's it seems. Wish there was a specific place ppl could go for HTCG/indie game singles

Here's a question though, what if, a creator actually makes his/her own cards - ie, print at home and found THE PERFECT secret sauce to making them "almost" as good as the game crafters. They made their own booster packs by hand (randomised), and also had a binder at a convention stall with most of the rare singles in, Individually priced. Remove the big third party company, would that actually change anything?

Maybe you sell alt art versions number to XXX/XXX.

I pulled Fiendsmith Engraver from INFO and immediatly sold it, using some of the money to buy this full deck. It's genuinelly such a fun deck, my favourite deck in the game by now and practically saved me from quitting the game. I found some good use of running the other two Lv10 Exodias, Legendary Incarnate and Legendary Defender. They are valid sends for Obliterate!!! which would make so you could use it up to twice without running out of Exodia Pieces in the deck (thus making the cross unusable.) Legendary Defender CAN be summoned with 5 monsters, but you can also just tribute two of your MIllennium monsters to get a very beefy beatstick while Incarnate can work in a very long grind game. Besides, both of them are monsters so they can be used for the temple.

Did you make these cards? The names are all off because they are translated from the OCG and are not yet all released in the TCG.

As someone that's just starting making a htcg, this video is fantastic! Seeing the origins of what is now a beautiful looking game is super inspiring. And don't worry about showing new cards all the time, it's wicked to see them as reference for how those original ideas stayed/changed/dropped throughout the years. Can't wait for more!

Named Cards are special characters or objects that have a Name followed by a comma, and then a secondary title. For example, "Seth, the Unbroken Flame" is a Named Card. Common for 10 cents, uncommon for 50 cents, rares for a dollar + (alternate extra rarities at discretion). Also, after selling the product, if the person who purchases it is willing to take the needed photos of the product when opening, it could be uploaded as a product that is finalized and others can buy, named after the person who initially drafted that custom pack.

Great ideas, but prices would most likely be all over the place. Considering some commons could be more valuable for specific effects/ability’s that are demanded higher than others. Definitely looking into this, but personally pricing could be whatever the market is willing to pay

Cool video! 👍🏻 I would say 10c commons, 30c uncommon, 75c rare, $1-$5 ultrarare, $5-$10 special/exclusive/promo/full art/yada yada yada. Really playable cards $1-$5.

This sounds pretty interesting. I haven't been around enough so I don't really know how much a specific card should cost, but once my game actually exists (:c) I think it would be cool to give something like this a try!

Ooor people could just sell all the cards in a single box and don't use booster packs. Double dipping as a creator by selling the packs and singles seems kinda morally and legally dubious. What's stopping them from just making all the high dollar amount cards the best ones? Why would I buy packs if I can just get the cards potentially cheaper than a single box? Also anyone can technically apply to tcgplayer, no need to make a whole new site. (It would just cost a lot to join)

This idea is sick! I’d suggest what my lgs does for their bulk cards when it comes to rarities: - Common 0.10 - Uncommon 0.15 - Rare / Holo 0.25 Super Rare, Alt Art, etc. would probably need some testing for to try and see how competitive / in demand they are, so anywhere from like 1.00-5.00 USD would be more fair then
